Product Review - Florasense Potpourri Simmer Pot

Josie Gonder
There's nothing like coming home from a hard day's work, plugging in Florasense Potpourri Simmer Pot and allowing the Liquid Potpourri to fill the air with the calming aroma of my favorite scent. Last Christmas, I received the Simmer Pot as an exchange gift, and I've loved it ever since. Florasense sells many types of products that fill the air with wonderful scents, but this one is my favorite.

The Potpourri Simmer Pot is a low voltage ceramic pot. It has a lid with holes in it to allow the aroma to escape. Its round design fits right into any room I plug it into. You fill it with about 1 cup of hot water and add a couple of tablespoons of liquid Potpourri.

Since the Florasense Simmer Pot is made of ceramic, it can break if it falls to the floor, so you need to make sure you place it on a solid, flat surface. After you plug it in to an outlet and the liquid warms inside, you don't need to worry about damaging the surface you place it on because it sits up about a half inch on its three plastic legs.

If you need the calming affects at work, you could be the envy of everyone in the office once you plug it in. Who knows how many people will stop by just to say hi. But remember to place it on a flat surface and where no one will trip over the cord. And most importantly, remember to unplug it before leaving.

Make sure you read the instructions carefully. It is an electrical product and you want to make sure you don't place it where it will get wet. You also need to make sure to set it someplace where it won't be tipped over by children or pets. The one drawback I found was that the Simmer Pot and the liquid inside could get hot. And if you pick it up before it has a chance to cool down, it may burn you, especially if the liquid spills on you. I just leave it sitting where it's at until it cools down.

I couldn't find in the directions where it said what to do with the liquid after it cools, but since the Simmer Pot has to be filled with hot water before plugging it in, I dump out the cool liquid inside and start over whenever I want to use it. It doesn't take that long for the pleasant aroma to start filtering through the air.

Before next Christmas approaches, perhaps you could hint to your family or friends that you would like your own Florasense Potpourri Simmer Pot so you too can escape into your favorite aroma, at least until the kids start screaming.

I have tried lots of different items on the market like the machine that when you put a disc in it is suppose to send the scents around the room, it worked for the room you were in but that was it and it cost us $40.00 and the wonder is they do not make the discs anymore...needless to say we were not happen, I have tried candles, waffle bars which work but you go through one heck of a lot of them and fast, so I bought a simmering pot and Florasense liguid and the entire three story house smells wonderful, I bought Spiced pumpkin and with a large Mastiff dog in the home, this simmering pot has put to rest the terrible dog smell that comes with having him in the house. We are greatly in debt to you and we wish to Thank You so very much! Kat Wood
