My sister gave me a tube of this product that sells for about $4.50 in most drug stores and health and beauty aids aisles of your local supermarket for a 5.3 fluid ounce tube. I told her I needed something for my heels and she told me she had an extra tube of something I would be glad to have.
On first use, I was in love with the minty smell that is not overwhelming. The tube states it is peppermint and plum with a picture of a ripe red plum and peppermint leaves on the tube. The back of the tube reads: this rich balm, with shea butter and extracts of plum and peppermint, relieves and repairs dry skin, cracked heels and calluses, leaving feet soft and smooth. Now with tea tree oil to soothe and relax tired feet. To use: massage on feet, focusing on heels and rough areas.
The next day after using this balm, my feet were smooth and soft again. Although I did need to use it again two days later, they were much smoother and less rough than they originally were. As a bonus, because I had a bit extra on my hands, I put it on my elbows and knees which were dry from the heat in the house and both knees and elbows are smooth as silk along with both the back and front of both my hands.
So if you have rough dry heels and calluses on your feet, if your hands are rough from dishwashing, if your knees and elbows are rough and dry, I highly recommend this product. It is inexpensive, it works, it smells great and it does not have a greasy feel and the tube looks like a foot at the end and it has a snap close cap unlike many other creams. Nobody wants to have to put a cap on a tube when your hands are coated with the product. So they have just about covered everything to make the usage easier.
Among the ingredients on the label are as follows: water, shea butter, petrolatum, glyceryl stearate and PEG-100 stearate, sunflower seed oil, cetyl alcohol, glycerin, cocoa seed butter, butylene glycol, stearyl alcohol, vitamin E, aloe vera leaf juice, tea tree leaf oil, peppermint oil, plum fruit extract, chamomile flower extract, lavender flower extract, lavender oil, lemon peel oil, thyme extract, orange oil, mandarin oil, grapefruit oil and fragrance. The best news is that the product is not tested on animals.
The directions are printed in English, French and Spanish for international usage.
