Product Review of Garnier Fructis Style Curl Shaping Spray Gel

I recently purchased a bottle of Garnier fructis style curl shaping spray gel. My hair is naturally very wavy and sometimes curly. Like many people with wavy or curly hair, my curls and waves are sometimes frizzy which makes my hair style lack definition.

Garnier fructis style curl shaping spray gel claims to tame frizz, give definition to curls, reenergize hair shape and add healthy shine to hair. Garnier also claims its spray gel product provides long lasting and strong hold to make it easier to style hair.

These claims caused me to buy a bottle of Garnier fructis style curl shaping spray gel even though I normally don't use hair gel. A product that claimed to tame frizzy hair while helping hold my hair style was too good to pass up. But does Garnier fructis style curl shaping spray gel live up to its claims? I've been using Garnier spray gel for a few weeks and here is what I discovered.

I was immediately pleased with Garnier curl shaping spray gel because of the convenient spray bottle the gel is packaged in. The mister spray bottle allowed me to apply the product both lightly and evenly to my hair, which can be difficult to do when applying gel to my hair with my hands. However, even with the spray bottle I still had to use a brush to work Garnier spray gel through my hair because the gel is a bit heavy.

I was also happy with the definition I was able to obtain after using Garnier curl shaping spray gel. Garnier curl shaping spray gel helped me style my hair and helped my hair stay put throughout the day.

Garnier curl shaping spray gel also smells heavenly. The scent is light, clean, and strong without being overpowering. Every time I use Garnier curl shaping spray gel I receive at least one compliment about how good I smell.

I also found that Garnier curl shaping spray gel did add some natural and healthy looking shine to my hair that brought out my natural highlights.

I was disappointed with the de-frizzing capabilities of Garnier curl shaping spray gel. The spray gel did help tame my frizz a little bit, but I still have to use a separate de-frizzing product before applying Garnier Curl shaping spray gel. If your hair is very fizzy Garnier curl shaping spray gel will probably not be enough to smooth your hair out.

Garnier Fructis style Curl shaping spray gel costs, on average, six dollars for an 8.5 ounce bottle. I found this to be a good value because the product is quite concentrated and one bottle will last a long time. The product is also quite versatile because it can be used on wet or dry hair, waves or curls for a variety of different effects.

Overall I liked Garnier fructis style curl shaping spray gel. I recommend it for anyone that is looking for a gel with long lasting, strong hold that also adds shine and helps decrease hair frizz a little.
