Product Review of the Gateway T-1616 Notebook

Computer shopping can sometime be daunting. The mere thought of shopping for electronics can send someone into severe anxiety. Recently I found myself in need of a new laptop computer. After asking around I learned about a local Comp USA store that was going out of business, what better place to find a deal than someplace that is closing down, with only a $700 budget I was limited on my options. I started out at Comp USA going out of business sale. I found only one in the entire store that I could even afford, let alone be choosy about options.

I next went to the local Best Buy, bestbuy.com. There I found several on sale in my price range. With it being near Christmas there were some in stock issues but at least I had a choice of brands in my price range. After looking at several I chose the Gateway T-1616 Notebook. The Gateway T-1616 is lightweight, and compact. It has Realtek Wireless ability along with Windows Vista, 1 GB Memory, DVD Burner, and a 5 in 1 Memory Card reader. It has three USB ports for all of your electronic needs ( ie MP3, Flash drive) and a built in Web Cam.

Now all of that is great but I'm female, none of it matters. What I care about is can I plug it in and be able to use it without taking a four hour college course. I purchased my T-1616 from Best Buy bestbuy.com and still had enough of my budget to take my family of five to Olive Garden. When I got home I immediately took my new toy out of the box and plugged it in. I took right off. The only thing stopping me was no signal for my wireless internet, but that was solved two days later with the installation of my cable modem with roadrunner.com through Time Warner Cable. I now have a beautiful picture with high quality graphics, the ability to charge my MP3 while writing for AC and downloading pictures off my flashdrive.

I can also unplug it and take it anywhere I go since it weights less than 6 pounds. For me the Gateway was the perfect choice, It does everything I want plus some. Now I'm not a high tech girl, so I don't add extra memory or anything like that but If you need a computer for your child to type reports or something light weight to carry with you for work this Is the perfect computer, or If you have need to hide it from your children's sticky fingers, it easily fits on a shelf or in a briefcase. I have been highly pleased with my purchase and would purchase a Gateway product again.

I will give this a look-see next time I am at the store. It is about time for a new computer. Great review!
