Recently Clorox introduced its new line of cleaners called Green Works. According to their website, Green Works is made from biodegradable ingredients and is not tested on animals. The Green works cleaners are plant and mineral based and 99% natural.
After seeing Green Works products in the store, I decided that I would try a couple of them. My daughter has asthma so harsh chemicals often bother her. I decided to try the all purpose cleaner and the toilet cleaner.
The first thing I noticed about Green Works was the value. In the past, any environmentally friendly cleaner I had seen was very expensive. When you are living on a budget, it's just not feasible to spend a large amount of money on cleaners. Green Works' price was comparable to other cleaners on the market. The price was neither the cheapest, nor the most expensive making it a great value.
The next thing I noticed about Green Works was the smell. There was no harsh chemical smell. Instead Green Works has a light citrus scent. My daughter wasn't sneezing around the smell and I didn't have to keep her away from where I cleaned for fear of her wheezing.
So, how did Green Works cleaners work? I couldn't believe it!
The all purpose cleaner is awesome. It works just as well, if not better than other all purpose cleaners I've tried in the past. Green Works even removed dried food from our highchair tray with ease.
The toilet bowl cleaner was equally impressive. Our home has hard water and our toilets get nasty and stained quickly. Just one squirt around the rim of the toilet was plenty to clean our toilet bowl. I didn't even have to scrub to remove the stains. They came right off with Green Works.
I have not tried any of the cleaners in the Green Works line. I did have a friend who tried the Green Works bathroom cleaner. She said that it cleaned very well. Her only complaint was that it didn't leave her bathroom with the shine she'd gotten from other cleaners.
Overall, I think that if you are in the market for a green cleaner, Green Works is worth trying. There is no harsh chemical smell. It is a great value and they clean well.
