Gun Oil is a premium personal lube sold by a company called Empowered Products. For those of you who have never tried a silicone-based lubricant before, the difference between it and a water-based lube is like night and day. Most lubricants you can by at the drug store are water based, and they tend to get sticky and require frequent reapplication during sex. Silicone-based lubes, on the other hand, don't dry out and stay slippery for a very long time. For most couples, this means you can apply lube once at the beginning of sex and not have to reapply it at all. Both silicone-based and water-based lubricants are condom safe, however, silicone-based lubes like Gun Oil can degrade some adult toys, so be careful with that.
My partner and I have both been very satisfied with the Gun Oil lubricant. It is very slippery and feels great. It also warms up much quicker than other lubes we've tried, which is very nice. The Gun Oil lube has aloe in it, so it always leaves our skin feeling nice and soft after we use it. It is also formulated not to stain fabrics, which has been a problem with other lubes we've tried. Really, the only thing I don't like about Gun Oil is that it is difficult to clean up. You can wipe the lube off of your skin, but your skin will still feel slippery until you shower. The Gun Oil bottle also gets very slippery, and it has occasionally slipped out of my hands in the heat of the moment. Some soap and water will take away the Gun Oil personal lubricant, but just be prepared for things to be slippery until you've done that.
In the end, Gun Oil silicone-based personal lubricant has become my lube of choice, and I would highly recommend it to anyone, gay or straight. In addition to being great for sex, Gun Oil is also good for self-satisfaction. Gun Oil also makes a water-based formula called "Gun Oil H2O," but it has the same problems as other water-based lubes and I don't like it nearly as much, so make sure you look for the silicone-based formula. Also, the price for Gun Oil varies widely from store-to-store, so make sure to shop around for the best price. Recently, I found an 8oz bottle of Gun Oil for less than $15 on Amazon.com with free shipping. If you've only ever used lube from a drug store, give Gun Oil personal lubricant a try and get ready for a big surprise!
