Product Review: Herbal Essences Break's Over Conditioner by Clairol

I always like to try new products when they first come out on the store shelves. Recently, I ran out of conditioner when I noticed Herbal Essences Break's Over Strengthening Conditioner while at my local Wal-Mart. The conditioner had caught my eye so I picked it up and opened the top up to check the scent. The conditioner seemed nice so I gave it a try. I only will buy a conditioner if it is specifically made for strengthening hair since I use hair dye quite often. Herbal Essences Break's Over conditioner promises that it has a fortifying formula that protects against damage. It was time to find out!

What first attracted me to this conditioner? Well, to be honest, Herbal Essence was quite clever to create this cute slanted bottle that is a pretty shade of slate blue. The bottle stood out compared to the other conditioners on the shelves. Herbal Essence had also come up with a catchy name such as Break's Over for this conditioner along with a neat tag line that reads, "a love potion for bad hair break-ups."

Herbal Essences Break's Over conditioner smells somewhat tropical. Actually the conditioner smells like coconut. The coconut smell is not a weak aroma so for those who like conditioners that are lightly scented then this wouldn't be for you. The conditioner itself is a pretty lilac color and pretty thick. It doesn't take much of the conditioner of Herbal Essences Break's Over for a single use.

Herbal Essences Break's Over claims that their conditioner helps strengthen against damage with it's fortifying formula by surrounding hair strands with their anti-breakage potion. Did this conditioner fulfill its promise? As a matter of fact it did. Herbal Essences Break's Over conditioner did improve my damaged colored hair. I noticed results after using it for about a week. My hair would be very soft and it even seemed thicker. When I would blow dry my hair I noticed less split ends after using the conditioner for about a month. Some consumers may find the product somewhat greasy due to the fact that even after rinsing the conditioner out there will be slickness to hair.

Herbal Essences Break's Over conditioner is a brand by Clairol that is new and available at most retail mass merchandisers such as: Wal-Mart, Target, and K-Mart. The conditioner is also available at most grocery outlets such as Quality Markets, Giant Eagle, etc. For a 10.17 oz. bottle of Herbal Essences Break's Over conditioner the cost is between $3.00 - $4.00. I recommend Herbal Essence Break's Over conditioner for anyone who uses heat styling or hair color on there hair regularly. This is a great product!
