Product Review: Homemade Detoxifying Clay Bath Soak

Elise Marie

One of my favorite homemade detoxifying bath soaks to make is my homemade clay bath soak. It helps draw heavy metals, chemicals, pollutants, toxins and bacteria out of the skin and body naturally and effectively. It even helps soften up the skin while nourishing it.

The natural nourishing ingredients needed to make the homemade clay bath soak are 3 cups of green clay powder, 2 cups of ground rolled oat powder, 4 cups of sea salt, 1 tablespoon each of ground ginger, mustard powder, cloves and turmeric, ΒΌ cup each of dried chamomile flowers and lavender flowers, and 2 cups of buttermilk powder. All these ingredients pull toxins, heavy metals, pollutants, chemicals and bacteria from the skin and body naturally while also nourishing it. You can easily find all these ingredients in an herbal whole food store. The ingredients can be pricy, but will be well worth it because again they are helping detoxify your body naturally so you can be well.

The best way to make the homemade clay bath soak is by pouring all the ingredients into the largest mixing bowl you have. Then you simply combine the ingredients other using a spoon until they are evenly distributed. After, it is time to take the entire clay bath soak you just made and pour it into a bath full of warm water.

The way to make the detoxifying bath is by filling the tub up with the hottest water you can stand, but not so hot, you burn your body and skin. Then you pour the entire mixture of clay bath soak into the bathwater and allow it to dissolve into it. However, there will be dried herbs such as the lavender and chamomile flowers floating on top but this is normal and relaxing. The water will also have this deep bluish green brownish appearance to it as clay and mud have. There will also be this herbal clay aroma coming from the steam of the bath. Once the bath is made, it is time to get in and soak as long as you can to help detoxify your body naturally. The bath will be soothing and comforting to the body, mind, soul and spirit. After the bath, it is best to rinse off under the shower with more warm water for about 2 minutes. If you see black sludge in the bottom of the tub after you have drained the bath, it is the residue from the toxins that have been pulled from your body. All you need to get rid of the sludge in the tub is wash it down the drain with warm water.

Now after the detoxifying clay bath, you will feel sluggish but this is because the body is working on healing and cleansing itself still, which is a good thing. However, you will not have any body aches or pains and will feel very calm and relaxed which is why it is best to use this bath soak before bedtime so your body can truly get the rest it needs to repair and heal itself naturally.

In order to help keep your body detoxified it is best to use this bath soak at least twice a month. I do hope those of you who make this bath soak have an easy time making it and I do hope those of you who use it are pleased with the results it gives to your health.
