Product Review: Indulgence Massage and Body Oil by Aromaland

April Horton
This is one of my favorite massage oils. It took me several years to find it after being on a quest to find the perfect oil. It is very relaxing and heady and great for using during professional massage treatments. It is my number one pick for oil as a massage therapist.

Made from cold pressed plant oils and quality essential oils this oil is top quality. It contains no synthetic ingredients, emulsifiers, no animal products, waxes, mineral oil or petroleum based products.

This massage oil is ideal for using during deep tissue massage treatments as the glide stays and you do not have to keep reapplying. The scent is sensual, but not overly so. It gives the recipient and user a nice sense of calm and peace.

I like it because a little goes a very long way. You will only need to apply one time during a 60 min. treatment and it absorbs nicely and is not too greasy. It really makes the skin feel wonderful and the scent is my absolute favorite! It is spicy yet woody with a floral and fruity undertone. Very nice and relaxing.

The ingredients in this product are;

Sweet almond oil, sunflower oil, canola oil and vitamin e oil in the base.

The essential oils used are the following with their therapeutic properties;

Lavender-(lavenda officinalis) sweet floral oil. Very relaxing. Can be used for anxiety, depression, stretch marks, sprains, strains, hypertension and headache.

Ylang Ylang- (cananga odorata) sweet floral. Used for anxiety, depression, stress and hypertension.

Frankincense- (olibanum) Woody, spicy and heady. Used for reducing anxiety and stress.

Vanilla- (vanilla planifolia) this is not actually an essential oil but is used for it's pleasing aroma. Sweet and warm with rich undertones.

Vetiver- (vetiveria zizanoides) earthy and woody oil. Helps with muscle pain, aches, exhaustion, depression, stress and arthritis pain.

Rosewood-(Ariba rosaeodora) Sweet with woody undertones, this oil treats dull skin, stress, stretch marks and helps reduce anxiety.

Cardamom- Sweet and spicy, woody oil. It has a warming effect. Used to reduce stress and fatigue.

An 8oz bottle will run you around $8. I have found the oil where massage therapy supplies are sold and also have ordered directly from www.aromaland.com You might also be able to get your local health food store to order it for you.

This oil comes in a stainless steel pump style bottle. The packaging is recyclable but I love to reuse the stainless steal bottles for other things!

This oils is sometimes hard to find but worth the time seeking it out! I just wish they sold it in the gallon size.

It can also be used as a bath oil. Just pour a few squirts under a running tap. Just be sure not to use too much or it will make your bath tub super slippery!

Aromaland is based out of Santa Fe, New Mexico and this company makes high quality products and only sells the best oils. I like them because they are affordable. They sell many other great aromatherapy supplies like diffusers, oil blends, bath salts, soap and more. The lines run together, so you can get the indulgence body oil, bath salts, body wash, etc.

It really hard to find a good massage oil that is not greasy and is also pleasing to the olfactory system. I have found 9 out of 10 people really like this oil! There are always those who go for unscented though!
