When I got home I found the photo on the sleeve did not misrepresent the soup. There were big chunks of real turkey and everything else shown in the picture.
I heated the soup up and found it was just as delicious as any turkey soup I have eaten and had the same problem most homemade turkey soups do--an occasional small bone. The spices were just the right mix and I found no need to add pepper or salt. Also surprising was the amount of turkey. There were plenty of good size chunks of turkey--something you'd expect to find in your grandmother's homemade turkey soup. The carrots, noodles, mushrooms, onions and celery were of the right proportion and not overbearing.
The ingredients are: chicken stock, turkey, crimini mushrooms, carrots, celery, onions, pasta (wheat, eggs, niacin, ferrous sulfate, thiamin mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid), 2% or less of butter (cream, natural flavors), wheat flour, sea salt and spices.

The soup needs to be refrigerated or frozen. It is recommended the soup is used within nine months of freezing. A date on the bottom of the sleeve gives the "use or freeze by" date.
The two tubs of soup contains about ten cups of soup. I paid $11.99 for the total amount of soup or about $1.20 a cup.
As a turkey lover, I will give this soup five out of five stars. I highly recommend it if you like turkey or turkey soup. Also, there is a recipe inside the sleeve. The one that came with this soup is for iceberg wedges with buttermilk dressing.

Post a CommentI asked about the turkey soup while at Costco and was told it was discontinued. PLEASE BRING IT BACK!!! We all love it here in Houston. After tasting the soup, I said I would never make my own turkey soup again.
I just looked at Costco yesterday in Richmond CA and could not find it! It freezes really well. I just had some that was in my freezer for a year or more, and it was fine and tasty! I hope they bring it back.
I haven't seen it in the Costco I shop at in Spokane. Costco has a habit of not stocking something for several months then bringing it back. Keep looking, it may be stocked later (maybe when the weather turns cold when soups are more likely to sell).
Help... We love this soup!!!! Where can I find it, they no longer have it stocked at our Utah Costco.
Have never eaten turkey soup.... might have to try that.
