A recent discovery in the grocery store left me stunned like a deer in headlights. In the produce section while gathering vegetables I came across Lightlife Smart Dogs. They are Veggie protein links containing no meat in the product whatsoever. They are not frozen like other veggie dogs and taste fresh.
Lightlife Smart Dogs come in packages which contain 8 veggie dogs. They are packaged like regular hot dogs and look exactly the same. It has a white label that reads in large letters, Smart Dogs. I found them in Walmart located next to the tofu and cauliflower.
This product is easy to prepare. You microwave each dog for 30 to 35 seconds, or you can boil them for two minutes. Lightlife's Smart Dogs contain 0 fat and only 45 calories per dog. In every serving there is 8 grams of protein and is naturally cholesterol free. This product contains no msg or nitrites.
Lightlife's Smart Dogs are truly amazing. They tasted exactly like regular hotdogs and even better. These veggie links cook fast and do not taste rubbery. If you switch them on your children they will not even notice the difference. I have tried other veggie dogs and have found them to be disgusting. This product by far has truly impressed me as far as taste and calorie intake.
What I loved about this product is that it has 0 grams of fat and only 45 calories. The taste was amazing and it cooks pretty fast. What I disliked about this product was that it will cost you over $3.50 per pack of 8 veggie dogs. I do find that paying the higher price is well worth it considering its lower cost competitors that taste horrible.
I highly recommend Lightlife Smart Dogs. You will be impressed with the quality of the product as well as the smart health benefits this product has to offer. Smart Dogs are great for that quick snack when you come home and are very satisfying. If you are watching your calories and fat intake, you will find this product to be helpful. Also you will feel no guilt whatsoever for indulging in these yummy wonders. You will not find another veggie hot dog that tastes so good.
