Product Review: Lipper International Canister See and Store Wall Board

If you are looking for a creative storage solution for small items, the Lipper International Canister See and Store Wall Board is a great choice for convenient storage.

See and Store Wall Board Review: Product Description

From the moment I first saw the Lipper International Canister See and Store Wall Board, I knew it was something I wanted. It is a set of small canisters, all with clear lids and magnets on the bottoms so you can see into them. They also come with a magnetic board that can be mounted on a wall, or they can just be stuck to anything metal, like a refrigerator.

The lids of the containers are nearly airtight, and they have two settings that they can be twisted into: pour and sprinkle. These are irrelevant for many items that would be stored in them, but would be great for spices.

See and Store Wall Board Review: Size

Each of the Lipper International canisters are 2.5 inches in diameter, and just over 2 inches tall. It sounds small but they are plenty big for many small items that people might want to put in them. The magnetic board they come with has just enough space for all of them to fit on the front, although if it were hung from a ceiling, then the containers could be spaced out more on both sides.

See and Store Wall Board Review: Durability

My one complaint with the See and Store Wall Board is that the canisters are not very durable. They are made out of thin cheap-feeling plastic, and I could see them breaking. The clear fronts scratch more easily than I would like, and despite their cheap feel, some of the containers can be a little difficult to open. However, despite these complaints, none of mine have broken yet, despite fairly heavy use.

See and Store Wall Board Review: Potential Uses

The product is advertised as being ideal for loose spices (which are often much cheaper than those sold packaged in spice shakers) and for small office supplies such as paperclips and pushpins. In my family, we store loose-leaf teas in them, and keep them on our fridge, right next to the electric tea kettle.

The See and Store containers could also be used for things like small candies (think jelly beans or M&M's) or vitamins and other pills, as long as you don't mistake those for candies. They would also be ideal for setting up a sewing station with needles, buttons, and other small tools.
