I recently discovered Lipton's Diet White Tea in the Raspberry flavor - and I love it! While the health benefits of drinking white tea have long been touted by the medical and nutritional community, the raspberry flavoring in this product makes for an exceptionally refreshing taste. Bottled white tea, whether it's a Lipton product or not, is gentle on the taste buds by its very nature. The additional of a little zing of raspberry makes a huge difference - not overwhelming, just enough to give the white tea flavoring enough of a taste that you really wouldn't swear that this was, indeed, a diet product.
Zero calories per 16.9 fluid ounce serving, Lipton sells this beverage in 8 packs which retail for approximately $5.99 plus any applicable taxes. It has 75 mg of flavoroid antioxidants per serving - and it's all natural! In addition to being fat and calorie free, this beverage only has 2% (60 mg) of sodium, so it's very low salt-wise as well.
Each bottle is said to contain two servings, but frankly, the taste is so pleasant that I usually drink at least two bottles a day. I also drink Lipton's diet Green Tea, which also is beneficial to your health, doesn't have all of the nasty additives of a diet carbonated beverage, and has zero calories as well. If I had to make a choice between the two products, I would heartily recommend the Lipton's Diet White Tea with the raspberry flavoring. The diet green tea tastes like green tea; the white diet tea, especially with the flavoring, is light, pleasant and downright perky.
Don't forget: Recycle your plastic bottles of this product when you're done!
