Product Review: L'Oreal Nail Polish Pearly Whites

Beckie Yoon
I happened to glance at the nail polish section the last time I was visiting the drugstore, and I spotted the most beautiful color of nail polish ever from the L'Oreal collection. The name of the nail polish is Pearly Whites, and it was just the perfect color ever.

For one, the L'Oreal Nail Polish collection has quite a lot of colors which are all for the professional women at the work place. The Pearly White nail polish is a nice white color with subtle pearl color mixed in with a nice shine to it. It is a simple color but it simply looks gorgeous especially as a manicure. While it may not be too spunky or cool, it gives a clean impression and it's very professional as well.

The instructions on the box were to apply 2 coats of the nail polish on and let it dry. This would help keep the nail polish strong, and so you wouldn't have to worry about chipping. I applied two coats of the nail polish, and I must admit that I was impressed by the quality of the nail polish. For one, it was very strong, and it had a nice hold meaning that it wasn't chipping anytime soon. Also, it didn't smudge easily giving it a nice overall look to it. I liked this nail polish because I wasn't too good at applying nail polish at all, and this nail polish was almost trouble-proof because it seemed like it was impossible for you to make any mistakes. I also expected this nail polish to chip easily; however, it was relatively strong, and actually did not chip too easily even when I was doing my chores of washing the dishes, cleaning the house, etc. With less chipping, there was less need to reapply layers which saved a lot of time and product!

On top of that, the nail polish dried relatively fast meaning that there was a smaller percentage of me messing the nail polishing up when I was working. It was definitely very convenient, and it didn't take too long for me to apply the nail polish because the brush inside was of pretty good quality and would evenly distribute the nail polish on my nails so I wouldn't have to worry about it.

The bottle that the nail polish came in was also pretty. It was made from glass, and in a decent small little rectangle bottle. Because the bottle was transparent the color of this beautiful nail polish shined through. For the price you pay, you get quite a decent amount of nail polish, which would last you for quite some time. In fact, it lasted me for a couple of months too with my constant application whenever it started to chip.

Some nail polishes have a funky smell to it - mostly chemical; however, I found that the L'Oreal Nail Polish in Pearly White did not have this problem at all. There was a faint nail polish smell to it, but it was nothing too strong.

Personally, I would definitely recommend this product to nail polish lovers, and also to businesswomen and mature women who are looking for a clean yet subtle color. The Pearly White does not stand out too much or as much as red nail polish would but it still a wonderful color nonetheless, and in fact projects a professional look in my opinion. It's not too expensive, but the quality of the nail polish shines through, and is definitely a product and a color that you all should choose.
