Product Review: Magnavox 8.5" Portable DVD Player

The Magnavox Portable DVD Player is a joy to own, and I would recommend anyone who doesn't own one to go out and purchase it. Even if you don't buy this particular model, you should at least investigate their other models.

I purchased this portable DVD player from Wal-Mart at Christmas, and I can't tell you how handy it has been owning it. I love watching movies, but sometimes life has a way of intruding on your down time, or maybe there are plans to go out where you don't have access to either watching a movie or finish the movie you're watching.

Well having this Magnavox Portable DVD Player has changed all of that, because I simply take it with me when I go out with my family. For example: It has been fishing, on vacation, on the patio at my home and relatives homes. I have even taken it shopping when someone else is driving.

It's convenient on the patio during cookouts or simple get togethers. I've even used it at relatives homes when their TV is occupied with things they want to watch. It has even come in handy during power outages, and I didn't have access to a TV. Another reason I love this portable DVD player is that you can also play Cd's on it. So this multiple function was reason enough for me to purchase it.

As far as I'm concerned Magnavox has some of the best electronics you can buy, and this portable DVD player is no exception. The pictures are bright and full or clarity. In fact, the picture has more clarity that most TVs. The sound and color are also brighter and more crisp than most TVs.

To say I was surprised about the quality of this DVD player is an understatement. I wanted a portable DVD player, but I did not expect the quality to be this excellent. If you're looking for a gift for someone, especially if they love movies, then you should definitely consider investing this Magnavox DVD player. And when you purchase it, don't forget to buy a few movies to go with it.

This would make a lovely gift for mother, father or children. If your child is going off to college this fall, make sure you get this for them to take along. Then once a month you can send a few movies for them and their dorm mate to watch. And don't forget to send popcorn!

I purchased mine from Wal-Mart when it was priced at $75. This was the sale price however. I see they are now around $99.

But the price is worth the quality of the product, and the convenience of being able to watch movies and listen to music where ever you go. You absolutely will not go wrong in purchasing this particular portable DVD player. At least go check it out for yourself.
