Product Review: Mane 'n Tail Conditioner

Conditioner for Horses Used on Humans

Bandit
Yes you read the name correctly. This is for use on horses. You may think I have lost my mind but this is an excellent product that I use on my own hair. My hair tends to break easily if I do not apply a conditioner to it after shampooing. A friend of mine was telling me about this conditioner that she uses on her horses' mane and tail and she also uses this on her hair. She told me that after using this the firs time, her hair was shiny and that her dry, itchy, and flaky scalp was gone. I decided I would give this conditioner a try to see what results I received.

After shampooing my hair, I applied a quarter size dab onto the palm of my hand and rubbed my hands together and then began massaging the conditioner into my scalp and hair. I rinsed my hair and the texture of my hair felt stronger and smoother. With each use, my split ends were repaired and my hair got healthier and stronger.

The conditioner comes in a 12 ounce white plastic squeeze bottle with a blue push down cap to dispense the product. On the front of the bottle there is a silhouette of two horses galloping side by side. The name of the product is on the front above the horses and says The Original Mane 'n Tale Moisturizer -Conditioner. Underneath this are the words for thicker, healthier looking hair all in small blue capital letters.

The back label lists the ingredients and tells more about what the product does. What is great about this conditioner is that it works in five ways as listed on back.

Conditions and fortifies hair and skin for a renewed lustrous look.

Helps prevent hair breakage and split ends.

Natural oils nourish and condition scalp to protect against flaking and scaling .

Essential moisturizing corrects the affects caused by the sun and wind and the use of peroxide lighteners.

Helps to keep hair tangle free, soft and manageable.

The texture of the conditioner is velvety smooth and is a lemon yellow color that reminds you of lemon pudding. The scent is a very light scent of coconuts.

The ingredients are water, distearyldimonium chloride, stearyl alcohol, cetyl alcohol, stearimidopropyl dimethylamine lactate, coconut nucilera, coconut oil, glycerin, vegetable oil, fragrance, phenoxyethanol, polysorbate 60, steareth 20, methylparaben, sodium chloride, peg-150 stearate, hydrolyzed collagen, propylparaben, lanolin, yello 5.

I know this is a tongue twisting list of ingredients, but the bottom line is that this is a great conditioner for healthier looking hair. I purchase this at our local Sally's Beauty Supply for $ 3.99.

I've heard of people using horse conditioner before, but have never tried it myself. Maybe I will have to try sometime. Another great review!
