Marcal Small Steps bath tissue is made out of 100% premium recycled materials. They have been saving trees since 1950. This made me extremely happy because I hate wasting trees. I do ecards just to save trees. Well then I started to get concerned that Marcal's bath tissue wasn't going to be thick enough, or soft enough, and the coupon was a waste. But I read more to discover that it's 2 ply, which is what most toilet tissue is these days. The softness I wouldn't be able to find out till I purchased small steps toilet tissue.
Upon using my coupon, I saw the 4 pack bath tissue was $2.59 so as I expected it wasn't free. It would have been had my store sold the single rolls though.
I opened the package to see it was a lot like Scott's bath tissue. Thin, but not as translucent as Scott's bath tissue, and also not has rock hard. A huge bonus is Marcal Small Steps bath tissue didn't cut back their rolls like Quilted Northern did. Quilted Northern no longer fits my bath room holder, it's so small it looks stupid, I even called Quilted Northern, and complained. The width of the bath tissue is half an inch shorter which makes it roll all over the place! Switching to Marcal Small Steps bath tissue would be worth it just for that reason alone. If you were to look at Marcal Small Steps bath tissue without ever picking it up, it looks exactly the same as Quilted Northern, except as previously mentioned, width of the rolls. The Marcal bath tissue is quilted, but not as squishy as Quilted Northern. Marcal says it's 2 ply, but I can't see two different sheets, like you can with Quilted Northern. Because Marcal Small Steps is wider then Northern, quilted, and cheaper with the coupon, I highly recommend checking it out. Perhaps Quilted Northern will think twice now about cutting their rolls by half an inch, keeping their prices just as high.
Marcal Small Steps Bath Tissue is a 4 out of 5 stars.
