"Tired of harsh cleansers? Throw away your old scrubs and masks and get ready to reveal glowing skin with Mask of Magnamity. Slather on this gentle, exfoliating cleanser and mask and feel uplifted by its soothing vanilla-mint fragrance. Wash off and emerge refreshed and ready to tackle any project, or better yet, the world."

I so wished that would be true. This description was lifted from Lush.com. I have seen this in the magazines, Lush store staff said that this was the best, and they also advertised this as something that Liv Tyler uses to keep her skin glowing.

I first found out about this in a magazine which explained this stuff as an exfoliator slash mask that is gentle enough to be used everyday. So, since I like gentle exfoliators that really do the job, I went for this and bought a big jar that costs about $20, instead of the smaller one at half the price. Note to readers: always buy the smaller version if available when trying out products.

Well, I don't hate this product at all, but I don't really get the hype. So, I come home excited and put this mask on my face. Wow. It was intense. It really burns. It has a strong minty smell and it is so not gentle. For sensitive skin, this would be the worst and it would be best not to use this on the face.

It really does its job as a mask though. It really draws the oil and dirt out and leaves me feeling refreshed and skin feels softer.

What I have problem with, is the exfoliation part. The exfoliation part is supposed to come after the mask dries and the beads in the masks are supposed to be exfoliation and it's very hard to get it to work. When the mask is dry, it hardens more than other masks and getting the mask out is the pain in itself so rubbing my face after it dries is not very easy to do.

If you are experiencing breakouts, this wouldn't be the best because it's too harsh and it really burns when you first put it on, and for breakouts, you should try to calm your skin, not inflame it. So, what this is really good at is making the skin feel refreshed. In refreshing, I truly think that this just might be the best out there. If you don't have a lot of troubles on your skin and you are feeling tired and your face needs some oil-controlling, you won't regret buying this but don't buy this thinking this is gentle and exfoliating.

I definitely agree! I have acne-prone skin and I thought MOM would help but it made my skin worse! After 3 uses I gave up and decided to use MOM on my body.
