One of the natural supplements I have been using nightly to help me get to sleep is the Nutrition Now Melatonin Peppermint Chewable Tablets. They work wonderfully, taste great and are easy to take. These supplements are not addictive and do not make me feel groggy in the morning which is also a plus.
The Melatonin Peppermint Chewable Tablets come in an easy to open white bottle with one hundred chewables. The chewable are whitish in color with a mint scent and flavor. They remind me of the round Tums chewable tablets for easing the stomach, but instead they are to help me get to sleep easily. The ingredients in the chewable tablets are melatonin, sugar, mint flavoring, magnesium stearate and dextrose. There aren't any unnatural ingredients in these tablets at all which I am pleased with because unnatural ingredients make me sick sometimes depending on what they are.
Now I take one melatonin chewable tablet before bedtime with a snack such as crackers or warm milk because taking them on an empty stomach tends to cause nausea for me. In addition, I feel the medicine gets into my bloodstream faster and helps me get to sleep quicker. The tablets do have a nice mint flavor, but are a little bit chalky. Once the tablet is in my system it takes about thirty minutes before I fall asleep so I usually take a tablet thirty minutes before bedtime. However, I have taken one of these tablets during the day when I needed help easing anxiety away or resting due to the cold or flu. These melatonin supplements do help me stay asleep throughout the night and I do wake up in the morning feeling well rested. I do not get any side effects from taking these supplements, which I am very happy about because many supplements do cause some side effects.
I would definitely recommend the Melatonin Peppermint Chewable Tablets to anyone looking for a natural way to get to sleep easily because they do work well for me. I do think these tablets are affordable since one bottle last me four months. However, before taking these tablets to help ease you to sleep I do think it is best to talk to a doctor to make sure they are right for you. I do hope those of you who end up trying these tablets get a goodnights worth of rest too. I wish you all the best at staying well naturally.
