A wireless mouse and keyboard can be a real convenience to have.It allows you to get rid of the clutter of several cords and cables on your desk. The Micro Innovations Wireless Internet Keyboard and Optical Mouse offers just this feature. The Micro Innovations Wireless Internet Keyboard and Optical Mouse are sold at Walmart for $24.95.This wasn't a bad price for a wireless set.I have seen some go for as much as $75.00. Cheap doesn't always mean better so I was a little concerned when I purchased them.I figured though since it was only $24.95 I wouldn't be out to much, and if I didn't like them my daughter could use the set.
Once I got the Micro Innovations Wireless Internet Keyboard and Optical Mouse home, I read the instructions for installing the batteries and hooking the keyboard and mouse to the computer. The batteries were easy to install. There was no tools needed, you just had to slide the cover off and place the batteries inside.Next you had to plug the sensor unit into a usb slot on the back of your computer. Then start your computer and see if it finds the new pieces.Sure enough upon starting the system it had found the Micro Innovations Wireless Internet Keyboard and Optical Mouse. If by chance the computer had not found them there were instructions to load the drivers from the included CD.
I started going about my normal activity on the computer.Surfing the web as usual and doing some writing. The Micro Innovations Wireless Internet Keyboard and Optical Mouse seemed to act fine.I had no troubles. After a few minutes of no use the Micro Innovations Wireless Internet Keyboard and Optical Mouse goes into a hibernation mode to save batteries. This is a great feature as batteries are expensive and I didn't want to be changing them every few days. With normal use I am going through a set of batteries in about two to three weeks.I use the computer a lot so this isn't too bad. The only thing I did run into when using the Micro Innovations Wireless Internet Keyboard and Optical Mouse was when I played games that required a lot of mouse action.I would use batteries in a few days.Since I don't play games too often this doesn't concern me much.
I use the Micro Innovations Wireless Internet Keyboard and Optical Mouse everyday while writing and have not changed the batteries in the keyboard .I have been using them for three months.I also do data entry on line and type up to 100,000 keystrokes a day sometimes. The keyboard battery life is very good.
The Micro Innovations Wireless Internet Keyboard and Optical Mouse comes with nineteen different shortcut keys. These include keys for the volume, music players, home page, back, forward, refresh, calculator, email, and hibernation. Having these shortcut keys are really handy.I listen to a lot of music using the computer and it is nice to be able to control the music player without having to keep closing my page.
Overall I have been very pleased with the Micro Innovations Wireless Internet Keyboard and Optical Mouse. It has performed way beyond my expectations. The price can't be beat at $24.95. If you are in the market for an inexpensive wireless keyboard and mouse be sure to check out the Micro Innovations Wireless Internet Keyboard and Optical Mouse. I would not suggest using this set for gaming since the batteries would need changed too often. If you are looking for a set for normal computer use ,then this is the set for you.

Post a Commentlove the cordless keyboard, hate the cordless mouse. good review, Heather.
For the price this is a decent set. I, how ever, have had nothing but problems with mine. Holding down keys to back space or type several letters in a row, or the arrow keys to scroll up and down rarely works, even when the receiver unit is an inch or so away from the keyboard it sometimes misses key presses, and for some characters getting a capital letter or an exclimation point is more an attempt to happen to press the same buttons at precisely the same time. Half the time I end up just pressing the caps lock button, which means I have to turn it off, which also means an extra keystroke. this is all assuming it even registers that i pressed a letter key at all.
There are other problems as well. Maybe it is just with my set, but personally I would not recommend
I just bought it from Walmart for 29.95$. But I found that the range is not great. 10 feet would be acceptable range for a wireless keyboard and mouse. However, this one is more close to 4ft. I don't know if it is due to some interference or I need to do some tuneup somewhere.
Great review i also own this product and you are right it is not good at all for gaming me and my husbend had to bye rechargable batteries for the mouse. We did exsperiance one bad thing about the keybored though the buttons like to stick accationally but no biggy. good info thanks

Great reveiw. I had a wireless keyboard but it didn't work during bootup. Sounds like an excellent product though.
Good info. I have an optical mouse but don't need it with my touchpad. Someday we will go wireless in my house.

I love my wireless mouse. I don't have to worry about pulling it to far away from the computer and ruining the cord. Great review.
