I purchased the kit, which you should always do if you're just starting out. It rather conveniently includes everything you need for your trial of the product: the Moom sugar wax itself, the fabric strips, and the Popsicle stick-like wooden applicators. The wax is really nice, with the consistency (and taste) of honey; the fabric strips are great quality and are completely re-washable (making this a nice option for the environmentally-friendly); my only problems were with the wooden applicators which could have been sturdier (I accidentally broke one - but at least it comes with several). It was all in all a very nice, complete kit.
The process is simple. You warm the Moom, spread it across your skin, layer the strip over, in the direction of hair growth, and then pull back, taking care to stay close to the skin. Moom promises a decreased amount of pain, which I'm not sure it delivers. It feels painful, like anything that rips hair out by the root. Nevertheless, it was effective and there did seem to be less skin irritation once the process was done. One of the best things about the process is that it's okay to make a mistake. Since this is a sugar wax, you can simply wash it off with water and soap, dry off, and try again. This makes it especially appropriate for beginners learning how to wax. Clean up of Moom is the easiest thing ever. You can leave the strips soaking in hot water for five minutes and when you pull them out, they will be clean. Or, if you don't care to wait, simply run them under the faucet.
Moom isn't the answer to all hair problems ever; it is, however, a very natural and beginner-friendly sugar wax that is easier on the skin than more chemical-heavy waxes or even wash-away hair removal products like Nair and Veet. Plus, the results last longer. If you're betting on Moon, the odds are definitely in your favor.
