Product Review: MOTIONS WEIGHTLESS DETANGLING CONDITIONER

writer441
Why I chose it?

This conditioner did not contain any silicones, harsh sulfates or mineral oil.

Size

13 ounces

Smell

The smell is similar to lemon, but it isn't a lemon scent. It doesn't matter because the smell does not linger once you've rinsed it out

Texture

This stuff was watery. I guess that is what Motions mean by "Weightless." Since it is watery you can't water it down to make it last longer. I tried, and it didn't work. I only got three uses out of the bottle, but I paid $4.50 for it.

Application

The thin texture did make it easy to apply, but if you're not careful a lot of the conditioner will squirt out of the bottle.

Effect

This had my curls on point. They were defined, soft, and shiny. My scalp felt extremely clean.

Hair Loss

This did nothing for hair loss. While I used it, I gently detangled my hair with my fingers, yet I lost quite a bit of hair.

Strength

After using this product I conditioned my hair and I was still losing hair. This does not usually happen to me.

Manageability

My hair does seem easier to work with. Once after using it I wrapped up my wet hair and fell asleep. The next morning it was not very hard to detangle my 4b/4a thick shoulder length hair. I was able to detangle and style it in twenty minutes.

Would I use it again?

No, it is too expensive and does not last long. Since it did nothing for hair loss or strength then it is not worth me buying again. I was done with this in a week. It'd be cheaper to go for a conditioner like Suave or VO5 that isn't made with silicones either.

Who would I recommend it to?

Someone who had hard to manage hair that could afford to buy this product frequently, but I would also recommend they do protein treatments or add a few capsules of biotin to the conditioner to make hair stronger.
