My son was born in July and my husband and I had great plans of being able to have him join in on the great summer events that go on in our area, even if for short periods of time. And, I was ready to start burning off the baby weight.
Being the parents that everyone starts out as, we wanted everything to be perfect for our little man and we wanted him to be comfortable every step of the way. So, we decided to invest in the Munchkin Car Bottle Warmer. It looked easy enough to use, and who doesn't want a warm bottle ready in minutes.
It proved to be the worst baby item we have ever purchased. There is a safety feature, where it automatically shuts off when the bottle is removed or not in the gadget. This is great, in theory, if the thing would have EVER read that there was a bottle there in the first place. We used full-size bottles with plenty of fluids in it, heck, we even pushed the bottle down a little and the reader light on it would go in and out.
We tried it in multiple vehicles with varied amounts of fluids in them and the result was the same every time, a very unhappy baby in the back seat. So, needless to say, that item went back to the store.
It advertises that it fits into all standard car adapter outlets and most cup holders. They were right on both of those at least. We had no problems fitting it into our adapter or cup holder. But, one thing to definitely watch out for is the fact that the warming belt gets extremely hot and could burn if a baby or young child touches it.
The fact of the matter is that you will discover, very quickly, as a parent the things that your baby really needs and the things they don't. Our baby didn't care if the formula was cold, room temperature or warm- he was just hungry.
So, we give both the Munchkin Car Bottle Warmer and our unneeded stress over it, two baby thumbs WAY DOWN!!!

Post a Commenti agree.!
I returned the first bottle warmer that I paid $33. for as it did not heat the bottle, thinking it to be defective, the Munchkin company sent me a replacement but it does not work either so my question is why are they still allowed to sell this product and because I did not return it within seven days the store where I bought it in Toronto they would not refund my money so be warned that this product is useless and I would like the Munchkin company to send me back the $33. plus tax that it cost me.
I agree...how is the "bottle warmer" still being sold? It does not work!
