Product Review: Nature Valley Granola Nut Clusters
All Natural Nut Lovers, Honey Roasted Peanut, Roasted Almond and Roasted Cashew
The label touts "100% Natural" and when I picked up the package, I was pleased to see the truth in advertising; each ingredient was readily recognizable with items like "Roasted Almonds" and "Whole Grain Oats" leading the list.
But the real test is always in the taste. Nature Valley Granola Nut Clusters did not let me down. The first package I sampled was "Nature Valley Granola Nut Clusters Nut Lovers." A combination of roasted pecans, cashews and peanuts rolled in Nature Valley granola and honey. From the first bite, a taste pa-looza fest ensued-How do you best describe total "yum"?
The nuts really shine through in this tasty treat. The granola adds a bed of sweet compliment to the salty nut crunch. Yet, it's not too salty and not too sweet, rather a great blend.
The only drawback, Nature Valley Granola Nut Clusters are hard to resist! I did find, however, that after five clusters, I was totally satisfied and generally stopped there rather than indulging in the suggested 7 clusters (which adds up to a full 1 oz. serving.)
I've now gotten in the habit of tossing in a pack when we are on the go (fishing, hiking, pool, sports, etc.) The packaging holds up to the heat of summer. With a re-sealable bag, it transports well and the contents do not get sticky from humidity or soft from too much time in the sun.
After trying all four flavors (Nut Lovers, Roasted Cashew, Roasted Almond, and Honey Roasted Peanut,) Nature Valley Granola Nut Clusters Roasted Almond is my favorite of the four and now a regular staple in my preferred snack stash.
Additional Comments:
