The NeilMed Sinus Rinse kit contains an 8 oz plastic bottle, 50 packets of preservative-free, pH balanced saline mixture, and educational brochure and directions (English, Spanish, French). I read the directions thoroughly and began my first rinse. The four step process is fast and simple: 1) fill the bottle with 8 ounces of slightly warm filtered or distilled water; 2) add the powder saline packet; 3) bend over a sink and softly apply pressure to the bottle. (The solution shoots up one nostril and streams out of the other); and 4) blow your nose softly and repeat in the opposite nostril. I always rinse out the bottle when I'm finished, and allow it to dry thoroughly before I put it away.
The NeilMed Sinus Rinse kit was developed by a physician and helps to lessen allergies, chronic sinus disease, and other nasal irritation from things like occupational dust, smog, and smoke. The rinse is very easy to use and the pre-measured packets take the guesswork out of preparing the solution and keeps things clean. Also, the smooth flow bottle empties 100% in the upright position.
What I like about the NeilMed Sinus Rinse is that the packets are pre-measured and ready to use, preservative; Iodine and latex free and doesn't sting or burn while using. The kit has an uncomplicated squeeze bottle and it is easy to clean up when finished. Additional packets and bottles can be purchased separately.
I have to admit that I did not feel relief instantly. Within the first week, I could definitely feel the difference. I could actually breathe! I have been using it daily for over a year now and no longer take sinus medications nor use sprays and I couldn't be happier. It has become a daily practice every night before I go to sleep just like brushing my teeth.
The NeilMed Sinus Rinse starter kit usually retails around $14.00 and at 50 uses I believe it is a bargain. You can also buy additional packets at around $13.00 for 100 uses. I extremely recommend this product and I like that I am taking care of my sinus troubles with a successful and NATURAL substitute.

Post a CommentI don't know if I'd want to use it daily, but if I had really bad allergies I probably would. I know for colds it works like a charm.
Nice review. :-)
Great review Char! I have not used it, but when I had sinus issues I used to use a saline rinse. I lay down on my bed, hang my head over facing upwards.. and instill the drops into my nose, and before a minute or two I have to blow my nose and all that congestion comes out. I have not had any sinus issues since I stopped smoking 3 years ago though thank goodness!
another great and informative article,
