Features
The Samsung R451C cellphone has a host of features. There is a microSD card slot and a built-in MP3 player, which allows users to listen to music on the SD card via a pair of mobile headphones. The back of the cellphone as a 1.3 megapixel digital camera, which comes in hand with the ability to send MMS multimedia messages that lets you text and receive pictures. For states that don't allow drivers to use a cellphone while behind the wheel, this device comes with Bluetooth, which is limited only to headsets, a standard practice in the market.
For those who like to be as efficient as possible, the camera can be set to display a unique ID and play a specific ringtone when one of your contacts call; this allows you to know who is calling without picking up the phone, a useful feature while driving. There is a speakerphone for conference calls, as well as voice command presets and voice dialing, another set of useful features for hands-free use.
Ring tone and graphics can be downloaded online; the R451C can play real songs as ringtones, not midi file sound-alikes. You can also set the phone to vibrate mode for those times when a ringtone would be inappropriate.
Conclusion
Though many of Net 10's cellphones leave a lot to be desired, the R451C slider is an excellent option for those who want modern features without the crippling burden of a monthly contract. The combination of lower texting rates, Bluetooth headset support, and a thumb keyboard make this Samsung an all-around good choice for daily use at a price-point that is fantastic.

Post a CommentThe Samsung slider is without question, the best phone offered by Net10. When I was debating whether or not to switch over to Net10, I was hesitant because of the phone selection. However, when I saw this one, I switched over immediately and don't regret it one bit. I spend less money on my phone each month and I get a good bang for my buck. On top of that, I am able to listen to music when I hit the gym and pretty much have a music player anywhere i go. I can't say I have any complaints at all about the phone or the service. Def worth checking out.
For a prepaid phone to come with so many features, like MP3, is really surprising. Normally, pay-as-you go phones are just standard nokias or LG phones. The Samsung is great. The call clarity and the quality of the MP3 are great. My brother just got it. Sadly, I have my contract with T-mobile for about 5 more months. After tough, I plan to jump on the TracFone bandwagon.
I've been wanting to switch to Net10 for quite some time now but didn't like any of the phone options until I came across this phone. Texting on the R451c is a breeze!
Have never understood the hype over tec phones, have been with net10 for years and i really like them for their raw service and reliability. I don't need a super computer phone that costs an arm and leg. I have a computer for that. Net10 is a phone made for people who want a phone, I enjoy this phone as it works and covers all the basics and that's all i need at the end of the day. Net10 saves me money and gives me the service I need with no unnecessary bells and whistles
This is really an upgrade in phones for Net10 phones. I am used to their basic phones, but now they have one with a full qwerty keypad which makes a HUGE difference for texting and makes things MUCH easier. I mean, its not an iphone, but at the same time im not paying >$100 a month for a plan where I only use 150 minutes of and the rest goes to waste. I use the net10 prepaid cards and spend anywhere from $20-$40 a month. Depending how much I talk or text, so pretty much, the ball is in my court and I can manage how much I spend much more easily than a constant rate that gives me set minutes that I may or MAY NOT use. Prepaid all the way!
