In my home, I have 2 desktop computers and 1 Acer NetBook with Wi-Fi connection. But just recently I had been looking for a way to connect to the Internet with my NetBook without having to go to a bookstore or Starbucks, which are hot spot locations. So I decide to invest in a wireless routing system.

So I went to Walmart where I checked out various routers, but of course I didn't want to spend a fortune. The Netgear WGR614 Wireless-G Router caught my eye. As you can see it has a sleek look about it. But even better than that it is not big and bulky like the Linksys Router I started to buy. So it doesn't take up a lot of space in the room you have it hooked up.

Here is an image of the back side of the router as you can see, you can hook up to 4 desktop pcs, wireless printer, etc. But here is what I did. Since I had the 2 desktop computers I connected them to the router directly, and then set up my laptop for the wireless Internet.

The set up process took me no more than about 10 minutes and I experienced no problems getting every thing set up. Now I have tested the strength of the connection with my laptop and it is incredible. I can connect to my laptop with an Excellent Strength connection from any room in the house. And I have also found that if you are going to be in the furthest room from the router you can simple turn the router's antenna in the direction you will be in and that will strengthen your signal.

I have even been about to go as far as the backyard and the front porch and get a great signal. So I am definitely happy with the results that I have gotten from this product. And I only paid about $38 at my local Walmart.

Overall, this is a great product. I am extremely happy with it and I have had no problems at all with it. So if you can't afford to spend a lot on a router then you will want to get the Netgear WGR614 Wireless-G Router. If you have tried this product, let me know how it has worked out for you.
