I purchased the Neutrogena Healthy Skin Rejuvenator for $29.99. The product comes with the applicator, the necessary 2 AA batteries, and 12 one-use puffs. The instructions recommend that you use it 3 times per week so the supply of puffs lasts for about a month. It's worthwhile to pick up more puffs when you purchase the applicator. It's easy to put the Neutrogena Healthy Skin Rejuvenator together: simply pop the batteries in, Velcro the puff to the applicator head, then push the applicator head onto the base. The blue puffs have a scrub-like texture similar to the rough side of a kitchen scrubby. The puffs contain cleanser and you just wet the puff to start the treatment.
The instructions state to move the applicator in circles all over your face, covering each area for one to two minutes. As I practically never use microdermabrasion on my face, I used it a little longer to make sure that I would see the intended effect. Best to heed the instructions as my face was sensitive for the next day and a half. It's important to not soak the puff too much or you will find that the excess water and cleanser will drip into your eyes. The application process was relaxing. The vibration of the applicator gives your face a massage as well as microdermabrasion. I found the process very relaxing. Once I was done, I washed the cleanser off my face with a cloth and let my face air dry.
I definitely noticed a difference right away. The areas on my chin and nose, where I have dead skin and large pores, were immensely smoother. My face felt tighter and tingly, like the few times in my life when I have gotten a facial at a spa. Foundation makeup goes on my face more evenly and smoothly. I don't know what the long term effects on the crow's feet wrinkles around my eyes or the deep wrinkles between my eyebrows will be, but I will definitely be using the Neutrogena Healthy Skin Rejuvenator three times a week to find out. The only thing I did not like about the product was the fact that you have to continually buy throw-away pads. Not the most earth-friendly product. Compared to even a single spa facial, though, it's worth the outlay of cash.

Post a CommentThe product itself sounds like it does a great job. Having to continually buy the pads would bother me though! Very good review!
Excellent product & review. I have been wanting to try something like this, but there are just too many products to choose from. I like Nutrogena hair products, so the facial products are also top of the line I'm sure. Thanks for the warning about sensitive skin and running the device for longer than recommended as this is something that I would attempt.
Nice review, Angie and thanks for the mention of the "earth friendly" issues. Perhaps if enough people mention it, they'll find a way to rectify that. I had dermatologists recommend Neutrogena over several others so I do have a tendency to trust them. Thanks for the heads up!
Sounds interesting..... I haven't tried anything major on my face since a Renova prescrip...... which worked wonderfully, but the stuff is expensive and the warnings on the label are scary.
I havent ever tryed these products but just might give them a shot :)
I love Neutrogena products..great review!
Thanks Angie...I love Neutrogena products and have wondered about this one being 'worth the price'...sounds like it is , I'll be picking one up next week!
And I'm checking my purse to see if I have some spare dollars to spend on it today :)
Super information!
Thanks for the review Angie -- I use the anti-wrinkle/blemish wash regularly and was curious about this. Hey, if you find help for the brow line please let me know! I've found good products for most everything but that. :-/
