Norton 2007 Security Suite blocks viruses from entering your computer that allows these pop-ups to occur and also protects you from Trojans and spyware. When doing a virus scan using Norton, if it finds viruses it deletes them immediately saving you the hassles of trying to find this virus on your own. Most viruses can attach themselves to important files so if you delete this virus you could do more harm than good. Norton 2007 Security Suite is able to remove these viruses safely.
I purchased the Norton 2007 Security Suite at Wal-Mart for $60.00. This may seem like a lot of money but when you purchase a computer for $500 to $1,000 or even more, it is worth it. Having a virus take over your computer and slowly deleting important files may crash your computer.
The Norton 2007 Security Suite includes: Norton Antiphishing, Norton AntiVirus, Norton Antispyware, and Norton Personal Firewall. Norton also blocks online identity theft. It also protects your computer against hackers. It detects and eliminates spyware and removes viruses and Internet worms. Norton also blocks suspicious programs and removes dangerous threats from files you download. It can also scan your email for viruses. Should any be detected, it will remove the virus. Norton 2007 Security Suite stops spyware from tracking you online and inspects web sites to make sure they're legitimate.
The downfall about Norton is that when you purchase it, it only protects your computer for a year, and then you have to purchase it again. Another downfall is that before you purchase your Norton 2007 Security Suite and you already have viruses on your computer, Norton may not always be able to pick it up and get rid of it. When I purchased my Norton 2007 Security Suite, I already had viruses on my computer. After installing Norton it did get rid of most of my viruses, although, it did not get rid of one that is allowing pop-ups to continue on my computer. Now that Norton is installed on my computer it is catching every virus or hacker that is trying to get into my computer and stopping it in it's tracks. It has technical support that you may call, but they charge a fee, which is another negative about it.
I would still suggest purchasing Norton 2007 Security Suite because it has kept my computer clean of viruses and it did get rid of viruses that were on my computer before purchasing Norton. Sixty dollars a year isn't bad, I guess, considering some of these viruses could crash a computer that you may have paid $1,200 to $2,000 for. Virus protection is important in protecting your computer.
