Product Review: NYX Eye Shadow Ultrachic

NYX cosmetics have always been known as being cheap and affordable while pigmented, so I just had to get my hands on the NYX Eye Shadow Ultrachic when I stopped by the drugstore. It was actually really cheap, and because of its price, I would recommend this product to those who need it or those who want a cheap replacement for an expensive palette that they used to own or have. The eye shadow palette only cost me a couple of bucks, and it gives quite a lot of product for you to use for a fairly long time. Also, the colors are fairly pigmented.

I bought the ultrachic palette, which basically consists of a sparkly palette, a light pearl color with shimmer, and also a white matte color eye shadow. The eye shadow palette comes with a double tipped eye shadow brush. The cover of the palette also has a mirror for easy access so that you can easily apply this eye shadow with only this compact. It's really neat and tidy, and definitely a great product for the cost that you pay. The eye shadow palette is easy to carry around, and you can fit it into your make-up bag meaning you can bring it just about anywhere.

The product quality may not be as top-notch as some other products, but it is actually really pigmented. The product stays on your skin very well although at times it will also smudge away. For the price that you pay, it's not a bad quality product though. The colors of the eye shadow palette are also quite vibrant, and it will last for the whole day! Because it comes in three colors, it allows you to have a base, highlight, and also darken your eyes to enhance and highlight it.

When I tried this eye shadow, it did not aggravate my skin at all or cause any bad reactions although my skin seemed to be sucked dry from all of its natural moisture. Also, it also seemed to settle into the wrinkles, and enhance the deepness of it. The eye shadow would also flake a lot making it quite hard to apply. I tried applying the eye shadow both dry and wet. I didn't really see quite a large difference. Personally, I think that if you have a couple more dollars to invest in make-up to go for a higher-end brand; however, this product honestly is awesome for the price that you pay for it.

However, this palette would break away really easily, and when it did, it was almost impossible for you to keep it at that. The palette would easily separate and flake. After that, it would separate and flake all over the place causing the eye shadow palette to break all over the place. This would make a huge mess; thus, it is important to be careful when treating the eye shadow palette so that it would not separate as easily. Once it separates, it's not easy to fix it again.

I would recommend this product for those who have a low budget because for the price that you're paying, the quality of the product isn't that bad. The product in general isn't too bad, and it's easy to purchase some from the drug store. It's usually in stock, and is highly pigmented with vibrant colors. Best of all, there are many different colors and palettes to choose from!
