Product Review Olay Foaming Face Wash

Why Pay More? Olay Has it All

Sondra C
I was walking around the grocery store doing my weekly food shopping when it started to rain and thunder. Since I live in Florida, where the sun shines one minute and the sky is pouring the next, I decided to continue shopping. Florida is like that - you can actually look ahead down the road while driving, and notice actual rain coming down and dark clouds ahead.

Anyway, I would rather not drive in a thunder store, so I decided to continue to buy some beauty supplies along with the groceries. This would save me a trip to the drugstore where I usually buy my body cleansing products.

While browsing the aisle for hand soap I noticed that there was a sale on Olay moisture balancing foaming face was with vitamin E and oil free.

I usually use a more expensive, face wash (more out of habit than anything else) but this time I decided to purchase the Olay face wash that was on sale at supermarket instead. I never like to pass up a sale, especially when I could always return the product, if it was not to my satisfaction.

While I was at the beauty supply aisle I bought liquid soap and a few other items that I was running low on. I have a bad habit--I stock up on hand soaps and other stuff, and then store them on my hall closet shelf . By the time I run out of them, I forget I have them and buy them again. I must have a shelf full of soaps and light bulbs. The bad part of this is I no longer use that type of light bulb, since trying out the energy saving twisted light bulbs.

Anyway, I was busy walking the aisle, picked up a few other products and noticed the sun shinning and the sky was blue. I immediately rushed over to the check out counter before the long lines, and paid for my purchases and the bagger brought them all out into my car.

I could not wait to get home and wash my face with the Olay moisture balancing foaming face wash and write a product review about my findings.

This product came in a 7.0 f oz tube instead of a jar. I like that because it does not slip out of wet hands. The tube specified that it was good to use on all skin types. It also stress that it was dermatologist tested + oil free. Best of all it was designed to remove make-up without drying the skin and 100% soap-free. The best part was the price- it was only $5.69 and I had a coupon for it.

I was not going out for the rest of the day, so I got into a house dress to test this product. I never like to write a review without first testing it myself. I never listen to manufacturer's rants and raves especially when I am the one paying for it. What else could they say anyway? It's their product, they want us to buy it. Being older and supposedly wiser - I make up my mind after trying a product and not because it is advertised as being safe for all types of skin.

I squeezed out some of Olay face cleanser into my hands and worked up a foamy lather. Then I massaged the foamy lather gently onto my face and neck. It felt good on my face so I massaged it a little longer than instructed. I rinsed off the foamy cleanser with warm water until my skin felt as if there was no soap left. I dried my face and touched it.

Yes! my skin did feel soft and clean and there was no fragrance to make me sneeze. I liked this product and was glad to give it a positive product review. I will use this every day from now on, as the product has vitamin E, is oil free, and says it is safe to use every day. I gave this product a review, from 1-5 as a 5.

I really liked how soft and clean my face felt to the touch and that is was not expensive.
