I was excited to see the new package of nail polish. Both my sister and mother are professional manicurists so I was familiar with the OPI name and product line. I have used them my self for years.
Nic Sticks comes in 24 fashion shades. The colors available right now are: #001 ~ Two Minute Makeover, #002 ~ Stick With Me!, #003 ~ Feeling Girly, #004 ~ Catch Ya Later!, #005 ~ Snow Time To Wait! (solid white), #006 ~ Are We There Yet?, #007 ~ Text Me, #008 ~ Baby Go Bye-Bye, #009 ~ Form One Lime, #010 ~ Orange You Fast!, #011 ~ Vio-Let's Go!, #012 ~ Com-Pewter-Ized, #013 ~ Expression Of Love, #014 ~ In The Nic Of Time, #015 ~ Cram For An Exam, #016 ~ I'm Outta Here!, #017 ~ Call My Cell, #018 ~ Date Night, #019 ~ Carpool Mama, #020 ~ Do You Deliver?, #021 ~ Red Eye To N.Y., #022 ~ Where's My Chocolate?, #023 ~ Indigo-Go-Go!, #024 ~ Home By Midnight and #025 ~ Top It Off Top Coat. The applicator is a slender pen like shape that you shake, then pump the color button, once you see color in the brush applicator, it is ready to apply. The polish is long wearing and dries within one minute.
The new packaging is convenient and easy to carry in a pocket or purse. The thing I like about it best is that there isn't a bottle to tip over and spill. It works great with little girls; you can allow them to apply their own polish without worry. I have to admit I have even used it for a chigger bite; it was quick and easy to apply. Some reviews I have read suggest the product leaves streaks, I haven't had that occur but you should be forewarned that stripes are a possibility.
The stick contains 0.135 Fl Oz of product (4 mL). I found it priced 6.99 at Ulta Beauty Store Online. Tonight I found Nic's Sticks at our local Meijer store for 6.29 each. OPI traditional nail lacquer has 0.5 FL Oz of product (15 mL) and I found it online for list price 8.50 and priced at 6.50 at Amazon.com. The stick is convenient but I am not sure about the price verses the quantity ratio. When I tried the stick for the first time, the amount of product was the first concern I experienced. I wasn't sure the product would last for very many applications. I am still using the product so I am not sure how many applications there are in one package. So if you aren't bowled over by the convenience of the new packaging, you may want to stay with the traditional container.
