Using the Oreck XL purifier is as simple as it gets. When the box was delivered to my door all I had to do was plug the unit in. There was no putting the air purifier together or trying to figure out what goes where. It's ready to go!
The Oreck system uses a 6-stage filtration system to remove all the pollens, cigarette smoke, and every other kind of pollutant from the air. The fan first draws in all the outside air where the Truman Cell technology takes over from there. This new Truman Cell technology is actually based on what the U.S. military uses in their submarines to clean the air. This new technology is a dramatic step up from the HEPA filtration systems. Instead of capturing particles as small as 0.3 microns, the Oreck air purifier catches them as small as 0.1 microns. With the HEPA filter you also have to replace the filter on a frequent basis because it can get clogged and even release mold back into the air.
The Oreck XL uses a permanent filter which never needs replacing. You can simply use soap and water to clean it. Dry it off and you're good to go.
The unit also has a feature called the Oxygenator which turns harmful ozone into breathable air. The Oxygenator creates a chemical reaction which then takes the ozone and turns it into pure oxygen. That is unique to say the least.
The Oreck XL comes in at a cost of $469.95. While that is no small price, I don't mind paying for top quality products that I know are built to last. The unit is advertised with a 60 day free trial where you can use it and return it for a full refund if you are not satisfied. It also comes with a 3 year warranty. I have had the Oreck unit for a little over 4 months now and have not had one problem so far.
If you and your family are looking for an air purifier to eliminate allergies at home, I highly recommend the Oreck XL Tabletop Air Purifier.
