Product Review: Organic Beef Jerky at Trader Joe's
A Soft, Moist and Tasty Jerky that Practically Melts in Your Mouth!
Recently, over the course of one of my many forays into the local Trader Joe's store, I have stumbled upon a rather new item: organic beef jerky! Although somewhat pricey at $4.99 for a four ounce bag, I nevertheless decided to take a chance and purchase a bag. And boy, am I glad that I did! I'm not sure how many bags of jerky I have purchased so far, but it's more than I can count on all of my fingers and toes. The stuff is really good! And the texture; it's oh so soft and moist! I have always liked beef jerky, and I have tried all kinds of beef jerky from all kinds of places: gas stations, liquor stores, mini-marts, e.t.c. Out of all of those places, nothing compares to the organic beef jerky sold at Trader Joe's. It wins hands down! And the funny thing is, the Trader Joe's jerky is actually pretty healthy for you. It's very low in fat and sugar, it's high in protein, and it's minimally processed; meaning it's not pumped full of preservatives, antibiotics, hormones, and God knows what else. The taste is really unique. It's a unique blend of molasses, apple cider vinegar, and soy. The jerky comes in original, teriyaki, hot and spicy, and pepper flavors.
So, the next time you find yourself shopping at Trader Joe's and looking for a good quality snack, try a bag of their organic beef jerky. If you are a fan of jerky, you will not be disappointed.
