Product Review: Planetary Herbal Feverfew Head Aid

Elise Marie

Suffering from headaches has really taken away from my every day life. One of the herbal supplements I am taking to help relieve my painful headaches is Planetary Herbal Feverfew Head Aid. It helps prevent my migraine headaches from happening when I take them daily. As soon as I stop taking the supplement my headaches come back which is a bummer.

The Feverfew Head Aid comes in a small bottle with about 16 tablets in it. The tablets are about '½ inch long and brown in color. They do have a strong feverfew herbal odor to them and a bitter taste as well, but as long as you swallow down with some milk and water quickly, the odor and flavor does not last long. The tablets are hard and can sometimes be tricky to swallow if you are not use to swallowing medium size tablets down.

The ingredients in this herbal supplement that help prevent and treat headaches are feverfew and willow bark. Both herbs help relieve inflammation, aches and pains. The potent nutrient in feverfew blocks the chemical in my brain that usually causes migraines, which is so nice. When the feverfew is able to block the chemical that causes migraines they can be prevented naturally and effectively without any side effects. The white willow bark just acts like aspirin and helps ease the pain.

Now on the bottle it says take one tablet daily I usually have to take two. I usually take one in the morning and one at night with milk or water. I never take the supplements on an empty stomach either because it tends to get upset when I take them that way. I would recommend always taking food before taking these supplements. Another thing I noticed is I do get mouth sores in my mouth when I take two supplements a day due to the feverfew. When I get mouth sores, I usually go back to taking one tablet a day.

Since I have been taking this feverfew supplement daily I have only had about 5 migraines in a year which is better than 5 a month. I also have less tension headaches as well which is nice as well. I even have less inflammation in my back.

I would recommend the Feverfew Head Aid to anyone looking for a natural way to relieve migraine headaches naturally and effectively. However, you should talk to your doctor before taking this herbal remedy to help treat and prevent your migraines because this herbal supplement can interact with some medications and medical conditions. Other than that I do hope those of you who try this herbal remedy can find some relief from migraine and all kinds of headaches.
