Product overview
The Peek-N-Play Discovery Dome is easy to assemble and is approximately 2.5 feet square when opened to its full size, but is easily collapsed for storage. When collapsed, the Peek-N-Play Discovery Dome can be stored flat against a wall or under a bed. It features a working "door," battery-powered doorbell (requires 2 "AA" batteries, not included), and numerous removable toys. The Peek-N-Play Discovery Dome is appropriate for children age 3 months and up.
Activities
The Peek-N-Play Discovery Dome is just full of activities that can grow with your child. Smaller babies can enjoy the removable rattle and teether toys, as well as bat at the monkey that hangs from the top of the dome on the inside. The peek-a-boo flap and hand puppet are also wonderful ways for parents to engage younger babies.
The older baby can enjoy crawling through the Peek-N-Play Discovery Dome, opening and closing the door, and watching a ball drop through a tube on one side. Older babies can also play with the ladybug slider above the doorbell and the swirling toys on one wall of the dome. The Peek-N-Play Discovery Dome also features bright colors, patterns, and shapes to stimulate little eyes and brains. Removable hanging toys, such as a squeaky phone, are also fun for the older baby to bat at and chew on.
Toddlers can have fun with the Peek-N-Play Discovery Dome as well. The "mailbox" is removable, and features three colorful plastic blocks of different shapes that fit inside corresponding shapes on the lid. The doorbell plays a fun song that babies and children of all ages can enjoy.
Parent-child interaction
The Peek-N-Play Discovery Dome was definitely designed with the parents in mind. There are a number of activities that parents can enjoy along with their children. One side of the Peek-N-Play Discovery Dome features a "peek-a-boo" flap that parents can hide behind and lift to play peek-a-boo with the child.
The other side of the Peek-N-Play Discovery Dome features a tube for rolling balls into. Parents can drop a ball into one end of the tube on the outside of the dome, and the child can watch the ball roll down the tube and come out on the inside of the dome. There is also a hand puppet on one wall of the Peek-N-Play Discovery Dome that is perfect for parents - simply place one hand into the puppet from the outside and your child can see the puppet from the inside.
The bottom line
The Playskool Peek-N-Play Discovery Dome is well worth the $49.99 price tag. It is a toy that your child can enjoy from infancy all the way through toddlerhood.

Post a CommentI just bought a used Peek 'N Play Discovery Dome and unfortunately it's missing some of it's accessoies. However, my biggest concern is that it's a little dirty and needs to be cleaned. Anyone have any input or advice on the best way to do this? I attempted to take it apart but to no avail. Anyone that has this ever had to clean it? Any info would be greatly apreciated.
Regards,
Patty
