I started my quest on froogle.com hunting clothes lines. After seeing all the style of clothes lines offered, I went to my free shopping place online, amazon.com. It's free shopping, because I always have amazon.com vouchers from loads of survey sites. I spent several hours on amazon.com looking through all the various style of clothes lines offered. I settled upon a Polder Two-Tier Free Standing Clothes Drying Rack with Mesh Garment Dryer. Three-Tier is too much for me, as I do the laundry often as it is, there was no need to go overboard. The price range for the Polder Two-Tier Free Standing Clothes Drying Rack with Mesh Garment Dryer is anywhere from $25-$35 depending upon shipping costs. There are several types of these clothes drying racks available, wooden, or steel for example. I settled on steel, and I'm very glad I did. Had I opted for the wooden two-tier dying rack, it would have already been broken. If you place too many jeans upon the rack, the weight of them bows the steel legs.
The Polder Two-Tier Free Standing Clothes Drying Rack with Mesh Garment Dryer features 18 steel rods for 33 feet of drying line. The actual width of Polder Two-Tier clothes rack would be one large men's shirt width. So if you are a plus size, you may need more then one of these clothes line dryers. The mesh dryer for the top of the unit works well for drying of fine linen, sweaters, and panty hose. I got to admit though, I never use it, as it hogs the whole top two racks, it would be perfect for the three-tier clothes drying rack. The Polder clothes rack is lightweight, about seven pounds, and folds up nicely for storage. It will fit into a closet easily, providing you have space for it.
The Polder clothes drying rack has plastic bits on it that do not tend to stay on. Example of this is the feet. (Please see pictures attached.) So if you purchase this, and have young kids in the house please be careful of leaving those feet on the ground when you move the clothes rack. There is also plastic guards on the 2 support beams that are constantly popping off. They are larger then the feet tips, so when they pop off you at least notice.
If you take care of this product it will last and last. If you throw your clothes on it, or place the bundle of wet clothes on the center of the rack instead of on the floor in a clothes basket, you will break it. It's not cheaply made, but it's not made to be abused either.
I would recommend Polder Two-Tier clothes rack to anyone willing to take a few extra moments doing laundry to save a bundle through out the year. I rate The Polder Two-Tier Free Standing Clothes Drying Rack with Mesh Garment Dryer a 9 out of 10 stars. Had they reinforced the legs, and glued the plastic bits on, I'd rate it a 10.
