First of all, if you need pots and pans that cook evenly without sticking, and are a breeze to clean, then this enamel cookware set is for you. If you like to cook a variety of dishes on top of the stove as well as the oven, then I would recommend the Rachael Ray porcelain enamel cookware set for you to buy. I love it and couldn't ask for a better set, and even though I haven't experienced any problems with my pot set yet, there have been a few others that have complained about the quality.
Now I can't say if the problem stems from poor quality or if these people just happened to get a bad batch, I don't know. I do know that sometimes this can happen, and the complaints might be small but they are complaints just the same and I'll share them with.
It appears there is a problem with the enamel paint chipping off the outside of the pots and pans, and exposing the metal. I don't know why this is happening, because it hasn't happened to me, but what I do know is that the instructions do recommend washing by hand!
So if you're not prone to washing your pots and pans by hand, then this may also be a deterrent.
Some people also forget the metal tip at the end of the handles can get very hot when you use any of the enamel porcelain cookware in the oven, and they will burn you if you're not careful. Other than this, that's all the complaints I've heard about.
I believe if you use the Rachael Ray porcelain cookware set according to the instructions, you will have a wonderful cooking experience with pots and pans that you will be proud to brag about. There is one other thing I would like to mention, and that is the colors.
I would have preferred more color choices than what there is, but I settled for blue. It was either that or yellow, orange or green. Besides the color, however, the set is wonderful to cook in, and I think you will enjoy it too. If you don't purchase it for yourself, purchase it as a gift for a family member or friend.
The Porcelain Enamel Set Comes With:
1 ½ quart covered saucepan
3 quart covered saucepan
6 quart covered stockpot
10 inch covered sauté pan
8 inch French skillet
10 inch French skillet
Rachel Ray's porcelain enamel cookware set is made from durable aluminum that will resist corrosion and dents. They conduct heat evenly, and they have a porcelain enamel coat on the outside that distributes the heat so there are no hot spots to contend with.
The handles are riveted on and are very secure. They also have holes in them, for those of you who want to hang your cookware set. The handles are made of silicone rubber and the lids are all glass see-through, and shatter proof.
If you have something that needs to go in the oven, you can use this porcelain enamel cookware set with no problem. It can withstand oven temperatures up to 400 degrees. If you're interested in purchasing the Rachael Ray 10-Piece Porcelain Enamel Cookware Set, then I would suggest shopping around first, because I've seen in online at different sites for $119, $130, and $149 dollars.
