This was actually my first Remington rotary shaver I had ever owned, so I didn't know exactly what to expect.
The Remington R-845 comes with 3 independently floating heads that also pivot to give you as close a shave as possible. While the heads do pivot and do their job, I find that many times I have to go over the same area several times in order to get a close shave. Yes, it requires a little extra time, but it is still much faster than using the old style shaver with shaving cream.
I also found on a couple of different occasions that the shaver left my face feeling a bit irritated after using it, although this has been only a handful of times out of several months. The Remington R-845 also includes some very nice features such as:
- Built-in trimmer that makes cutting sideburns or moustaches a breeze. I have used it several times and it has been very useful.
- Pop-off top for easy cleaning. You just take off the top portion and empty the razor out into the trash can. It also includes a cleaning brush to clean up the heads quickly.
- A long life battery. The shaver comes with a charging cord and gives 2 weeks worth of use for 1 hour of charging time.
- Cleaning reminder light as well as a battery life light.
- Carrying case
I will say that the battery life is as good as advertised. I have been able to go longer than 2 weeks before needing to recharge this shaver. The cost of this shaver was $29.95 and I would say it is a very good value for the price. Most electric shavers like this will easily run upwards of $49.95 - $79.95, so the Remington gets high marks for value.
Although the Remington Microflex R-845 Electric Shaver is not perfect by any means it does do an overall good job of giving you a clean shave. I would recommend it for anyone who is looking for a good electric shaver at an economical price.

Post a CommentCharlie, one should prepare his face first before shaving. Use a good soap like Col. Ichabod Conk Shaving Soap, which helps moisturize and prevent your skin from drying out. Check out this site http://www.fendrihan.com/shaving-soaps-c-2.html
Always irritated my face.
