I enjoy eating dry foods such as beef jerky and fruit. Purchasing dry foods can be very expensive. There was a time in my life that I would spend around a hundred dollars a month just on dried foods. It became a very expensive snack and one that I could not afford. A friend of mine told me a great way to save money is to buy a food dehydrator. At first I didn't know what she was talking about till she explained to me that a food dehydrator works to dry up different types of food. I became highly interested and decided to get a food dehydrator. I went to the store I discovered the Ronco 5-Tray Food Dehydrator. I have been using it for about a year now and I love it. There are many reasons why I love the Ronco 5-Tray Food Dehydrator.

The number one reason I like the Ronco 5-Tray Food Dehydrator is that it dehydrates almost any food that I want dehydrated. I have dehydrated strawberries, bananas, apples, beef, corn, carrots, tomato, and much more. Experimenting with the different types of foods has been a lot of fun. I have used the food dehydrator to make yogurt, soup and casserole dishes. The Ronco 5-Tray Food Dehydrator comes with a recipe book that gives you a ton of wonderful ideas as to what you can dehydrate and how long it takes for certain foods to dehydrate. For example, strawberries take about a day versus beef takes about a couple of days.

The Ronco 5-Tray Food Dehydrator has five trays for drying food. So I could get a lot of dehydrating completed which saves time and energy. I can make foods that can last for a month with the five trays that it comes with.

The Ronco 5-Tray Food Dehydrator has a fan that is part of the drying system that dehydrates the food. I like the Ronco 5-Tray Food Dehydrator because the fan that runs is silent yet powerful in doing it's job. Some food dehydrators that I tested out at the store are loud and annoying.

You can purchase the Ronco 5-Tray Food Dehydrator at Target.com. I purchased it for $40 dollars not including tax. It has been a wonderful investment. I get to save money and enjoy eating dried foods at the same time. I would recommend this product to anyone who enjoys eating dry foods.

I purchased the Ronco 5-tray food dehydrator (without the fan) and I warn all others out there to NOT, I repeat NOT, purchase this item. After using it for 3 days with rotation of the trays and constant supervision, the trays ALL warped and two of them even had burned holes through them. The customer service at Ronco was not helpful and very rude so I will not purchase Ronco products again. The American Harvest dehydrator rocks!!!!!!!
