Product Review: Samsung 19" Widescreen (SyncMaster 940BW) LCD Monitor
When my computer monitor decided to turn on for the last time ,I quickly had to find a replacement. I was sure of one thing ,I wanted a flat screen. After visiting various stores and comparing the different choice of flat panel monitors, I decided upon the Samsung 19"Wide-screen (SyncMaster 940BW) LCD Monitor . I purchased the Samsung 19"Wide-screen (SyncMaster 940BW) LCD Monitor at Sam's Club for $214.00. This didn't seem like a bad price since I had seen the same monitor for $279.99 at other electronic stores.After getting the Samsung 19"Wide-screen (SyncMaster 940BW) LCD Monitor home we unpackaged the screen and read the instructions on assembly.
Assembly was fairly easy,it involved hooking the screen itself to the base and attaching the cord to the monitor.The Samsung 19"Wide-screen (SyncMaster 940BW) LCD Monitor gives you two choices when attaching to your computer.They are Analog and Digital.The one you will use will depend on the video card installed in your computer.I have hooked it up both ways to compare the difference in the view.The Analog view is great compared to the view I had on my old CRT monitor.While the view the Samsung 19"Wide-screen (SyncMaster 940BW) LCD Monitor offers through the Digital hook-up is very life like.I choose to stick with the digital connection.The monitor comes with the cables for both Analog and Digital so there is nothing extra to buy.
Loading the drivers for the Samsung 19"Wide-screen (SyncMaster 940BW) LCD Monitor was very simple to do.It guides you through installation step by step.My computer recognized the Samsung 19"Wide-screen (SyncMaster 940BW) LCD Monitor as soon as I turned it on. Within twenty minutes of getting my new monitor home I was completely hooked up and ready to go.The Samsung 19"Wide-screen (SyncMaster 940BW) LCD Monitor comes with a three year warranty on parts, labor, and back-light. Since I purchased the Samsung 19"Wide-screen (SyncMaster 940BW) LCD Monitor at Sam's Club I was offered a three year warranty extension for an additional $30.00.
The Samsung 19"Wide-screen (SyncMaster 940BW) LCD Monitor offers a viewable area of 19".I wasn't sure I would like the wide-screen look,but I was pleasantly surprised how well I enjoy it. The screen resolution of the Samsung 19"Wide-screen (SyncMaster 940BW) LCD Monitor is 1440 x 900.The view the monitor provides is amazing. The Samsung 19"Wide-screen (SyncMaster 940BW) LCD Monitor also doesn't take up a lot of room on my desk.It comes with a bracket to mount to the wall if you should choose to do so.
I have been very happy with my Samsung 19"Wide-screen (SyncMaster 940BW) LCD Monitor .This is the third month of using it and I haven't had any complaints.With the extended warranty I will be covered for the next six years should there be any problems.

Post a CommentIts not a good screen for Graphics and for Video Solutions. Better find a Dell or apple display. Maybe a little more expesive but worth it nontheless.
I have1 now, but my friend said its expensive for 9,995.00Php.
Screen might be good but the stand it not good quality.
Over time the screen will sag and you will not be able to view it properly.
It tilts done over time due to the weight and cannot be fixed.
The material of the bracket is cast aluminium and stretches over time.

My Samsung SyncMaster 940 BW is stuck; tilted too much forwards. We don't know how it happened, but we can't tilt it back w/o feeling that we might break it. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?
Nice review, but way too out of my price range; especially since I will never shop at any Wal-Mart owned store.

Sounds great. I would love to have flat screen and a bigger screen. Mine is a 15 inch. Oh, well, there isn't anything wrong with my screen, so really it would be a waste of money. I shouldn't waste money. Although, it is so easy to do.
