Product Review: Samsung Digimax A6 Digital Camera

Sophie Spyrou
The Samsung Digimax A6 digital camera has many useful features, such as 6.0 Mega-pixel, for great picture quality, 12x7 zoom feature (optical 3x, digital is 4x) a battery charger, AC cord, user manual and Li-ion Battery (SBP-1303).

If you are looking for a digital camera, you will be on the lookout for a product that takes good quality pictures and is affordable. The Samsung Digimax A6 digital camera fits the bill. At $245, it is reasonably priced and can fit most budgets. The camera has a 6.0 Mega-pixel picture quality, which takes clear pictures, as long as the conditions are right. Pictures come out sharp and clear. A great feature of the Samsung Digimax A6 digital camera is the rewind button that is located on the left hand side of the main menu option pad, which is shaped like an arrow pointing down. This feature allows you to review pictures that you have taken. If for any reason you do not like the picture quality, then you can delete pictures and start again.

The Samsung Digimax A6 digital camera allows you to edit the pictures that you take. For example, you can crop pictures, which is a really useful feature if you want to just concentrate on one particular part of the picture and cut out some unnecessary background. You can also rotate the pictures. The package comes with a CD-ROM containing Storage Driver, Digimax viewer 2.1, ArcSoft Photo impression 4.0 and Digimax Reader that allows you to do this and much more. When you are ready to download and print your pictures, you can attach the USB connection to your computer and printer. It is simple to install.

Samsung has put together a comprehensive quick guide that deals with how to install the camera driver onto your computer and how to view the pictures that you have taken. It is a small booklet that has 6 basic steps you need to follow for successful installation. For more detailed system requirements, you can refer to the User's Guide, which is available in both English and Spanish. It provides a clear, step-by-step guide through how to use the camera and it also has pictures, which are very useful.

The Samsung Digimax A6 digital camera does not stop there. It also has an international warranty certificate that is valid for one year from the date of purchase. The warranty leaflet lists 11 authorised Samsung service centres within America where your camera can be fixed if there are any defects. As well as these service centres, there is a list of international service agents in Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe and Latin America that can provide assistance. I would highly recommend the Samsung Digimax AT digital camera. It is reasonably priced, produces high quality pictures and is easy to use.
