The Samsung company is regarded as one of the leading mobile phone makers in the world today. Samsung has made great strides in developing quality mobile phones and maintaining a competitive edge in the industry. Very few companies are able to compete with Samsung in the mobile phone technology market. Now the company has proven once again, that it remains on the cutting edge of technology with the release of Samsung U900 Soul, also called U900. With its high-tech camera, better connectivity and great music player, this new handset in the Ultra series of Samsung promises to provide its user with an incomparable entertaining experience.

The physical appearance of the Samsung U900 Soul can be compared to Mar-mite, you either love it or hate it. It was designed to incorporate a touch of class that is not common in most Samsung phones. With its clean sharp lines and metallic compact exterior, the look itself is impossible not to impress anyone. However, these features do not dominate the phone, because the beauty is on the breathtaking screen. The 2.2 inch TFT screen displays up to 16 million colors clearly when images are retrieved from the 5 mega-pixel camera with 4x digital zoom.

The easy-to-use camera features of the Samsung U900 Soul is very accessible from the main menus. Users will get camera-oriented controls once they start taking snapshots. Other key features include video recording, a digital MP3 music player, a stereo FM radio and such connectivity options as bluetooth, WAP and wireless. The web browser is also highly rated.

There is also a disadvantage to the Samsung U900 Soul and that is the built-in 128 megabyte internal memory. It should have come with an internal memory of over 2 gigabytes since a lot of phone user use their phone for many other functions. It might not last long considering the many features contained within the handset. But all is not lost as it can be expanded up to 2 gigabyte or more by adding a Micro SD memory card.

Another main disadvantage of the Samsung U900 Soul phone is that it is a Tri-band phone. Most phones these days are Quad-bands, which allows the owner of the phone the ability to use it anywhere in the world without restriction to phone frequencies. If you are a business traveler, you have to check that this phone is compatible with the locations that you often travel.

Overall, the Samsung U900 Soul is a great phone in terms of appearance and functionality, and one to watch out for in the market.
