I heard about Seacret when one of my friends received it as a Christmas present. She couldn't stop raving about how much she loved it. I run a fashion blog, and I recommended that my readers buy this if they were shopping for a birthday gift. This recommendation was solely because of her praise for Seacret, because I had never tried their products. Because I want to let companies know when they are doing a good job, I filled out an online form on their website that told them how much I liked it. There was no response, but I figured that the message got to the right department.
One evening, I came home after a blizzard. My nerves were shot because of the drive, and I was ready to relax the rest of the evening. So I was very surprised when I opened my front door and saw a package. I knew I hadn't ordered anything. I turned over the box and noticed who it was from. Seacret had sent me not one, but two of their collections for Nail Care in different scents. I immediately dashed off a thank you note to them, and tried it out.
It comes with a file, buffing block, cuticle oil, and some scented lotion. The scents are divine, and despite never caring for cucumber melon scented products, I found that theirs was incredible. I filed my nails, and then used the instructions on the buffing block. It's very simple. There are 4 sides. You move around the block, and as you do, it files and buffs the surface so that they resemble a glass finish when you are done. Then, just apply some cuticle oil, and lotion, and you have incredible looking nails.
I tried this on my mom's nails. Her nails are in horrible condition. They are very thick and have visible ridges. They have been neglected for a long time, and I do not believe she has ever gotten a manicure. In less than ten minutes, her nails looked significantly better, and it made her entire hands look younger. I also tried the kit on my husband. Because there is no color or painting involved, it is suitable for use on men too. He has a white collar job, and it would not be unusual for a male with his job to have a manicure. This set lets him do it at home, save a ton of money, and impress his bosses with his attention to detail in his personal appearance. Because he works for the kind of company that still requires suit and ties of its employees, this sort of thing is noticed by the upper management.
I love that they gave me the kit for free. I certainly did not expect it, but I wouldn't turn it down either. But this is a product that I would gladly pay for. In fact, I've decided that most of my female relatives are getting a set for Christmas.
These are just some of the reasons I love my Seacret Nail Care Collection. I love that I can make my nails as smooth as glass in just a few minutes, and that the buffing block can be used indefinitely. This is one of my favorite beauty products, and the best part is that it can be used by men or women.

I purchased the eye care lotion...well I could have gotten a whole regimen of avon, olay, or many other brands that would have worked just as well. I spent 70-80 $'s and it does not work. As for the nail kit I bought a buffer/nail file the same kind for 10 $'s and it worked just as well. The oil does nothing that any other hand oil works. The lotion, yeah it smells good but big deal. Don't get sucked in.
@Janet: I bought one yesterday (took leave of my senses & stopped...)the girl at the mall said they were running a special where I could get 2 for $49, I said can I be selfish then & get 1 for half that to which she was like "well you're gonna get me in trouble..." but agreed. I had had the salt scrub done on my hand before (but walked away) & knew it really did work so she did that too. I didn't want the oily one (which, sneaky, is not what they demonstrate with) so I bought the big tub of just the salt (with other things too as it turns out) and she threw in the nail kit same price. Still too expensive but I think this shows yes, the pricing is BS & it pays you to haggle with them. There was no one else there at that moment so I don't know if other ppl were around they might not want to be seen "giving you a break" over their "specials". I'm sure they have a built-in margin to convince ppl who are hard sells they're getting a bargain. But, if you don't ask you don't get. Good t
yeah its great. I know a buffer will do most of the work that I see on my nails but the quality of the shine i havent seen before other than with nail polish. For the wearing down of the nail the main thing is to be very sparing with the grey and black portions of the block and take your time with the white bufftastic part. All you need is to get the nail to a place where it can be shined. I've one nail on my thumb that has been damaged but with this it has stopped splitting and catching on everything. I personally think its much better for you than using nail polish.
I was at the Illinois State Fair where this guy grabbed my hand and pulled me into his booth. He did his thing and yes, my one nail looked nice. He handed me the box and said it sells for $80 but we have a sale on for the fair and you can get it for $49. I told him I didn't come to the fair to buy anthing. He said "what?" I repeated it at which point he told me to get out of his booth. I see now I can get the box set for $49 without being at the fair. I think I will just go to Sally's Beauty Supply and look for a buffer.
I'd just like to say, be careful with this buffer. I've been using the kits for a few years, and it really does wear down your nail. Doing it yourself will not look like they do in the mall (though shiny, not mirror finish), but don't rub too hard or too long. Never use it without the oil, or your nails will peel and chip. Nails get very thin, so use SPARINGLY! And make sure to use a strengthening nail enamel at least once a month. That being said, this is a nice little product...but you can get similar kits for about 20 dollars, or just a buffer for 5.
My sister and I went to the mall of America in Minneapolis yesterday. I was reading about it when I came to this site. The guy at the kiosk that sold us the kits was quite the salesperson, let me tell you. We couldn't say no! He was good, that's for sure, but I have to say so far we're both really happy with the product. I am a smoker, and it helped my nails to look not so yellow, and leaves a healthy looking shine to the nails also. It's like we put on a clear polish. I honestly do like the product, and I'm sure we'll replenish when needed. Saves from going to the salon.
Yes, this is a good product, don't pay $80 bucks, $25 -$30 is better.
Try it at the Kisok and walk away in two or three days check out the shine on the nail, that's what is did.
BE VERY CAREFUL OF THIS PRODUCT. THE BUFFER IS BASICALLY SANDING DOWN A LAYER OF YOUR NAIL. DO NOT OVERUSE EVENTUALLY IF OVERUSED YOU WILL SAND YOUR NAIL DOWN TO PAPERTHIN. WHY RISK YOUR HEALTH? USE AT OWN RISK!!!
These mall lotion snipers try to sell you this overpriced Seacret stuff for at least three times what it is worth... and the lotions do NOT even smell that great. Here at the Padre Staples mall in Corpus Christi, Texas the Seacret guys are becoming pests. If they take you by the hand they think they've "got you". Pull your hand out of theirs just as abruptly and invasively as they took yours in the first place and walk away! The same guys have been here for years and they always give me some new BS story like, "I'm the District Manger inspecting this site to see how they're operating...". Dude I've seen you here at this kiosk for the last 5 years!
