If you're always on the lookout for a healthy, crunchy snack then try a bag of Stacy's baked Parmesan Garlic & Herb pita chips. They're made out of natural ingredients, and they're lowfat, crunchy and tasty. Read more to get the whole "scoop" on Stacy's delicious baked pita chips and some of their other products.

One serving of baked pita chips contains about 12 chips. They're fairly large, thickly cut and crunchy so they're very satisfying. Each serving of the Parmesan Garlic and Herb flavor has 140 calories, 5 grams of fat, no grams of trans fat, 200 mg of sodium (8% RDA), 2 grams of fiber, 1 gram of sugar and 4 grams of protein. This is a very healthy nutritional profile for a snack.

The flavor of the Parmesan Garlic and Herb pita chips is very good. They taste cheesy, with a hint of garlic and herbs that is more subtle than strong. They're great just out of the bag, to eat with some cheese and fruit, or with any kind of dip or salsa.

There are several varieties of Stacy's baked pita chips. They are: Simply Naked, Cinnamon and Sugar, Texarkana Hot, Pesto and Sundried Tomato, and Multigrain. I"ve tried the naked and the multigrain. The naked chips were a little bland for me, as I usually need a little salt and flavor on my chips and snacks. The multigrain were tasty, with good texture and flavor. They were better to eat with dips or cheese though, as their flavor is fairly mild.

Stacy's baked pita chips were invented by Stacy Madison and her partner when they owned a sandwich cart in Boston. They made all natural roll-up pita sandwiches. They baked up pita bread into different flavors of chips in order to appease customers who had to wait in line. Eventually a new business was born. Stacy's also makes baked soy crisps and baked bagel chips.

If you really enjoy the Stacy's pita chips or other products, you can get recipe ideas at the website, stacyssnacks.com. You can order the products online if you can't find them near you, although they are now being sold in all Target stores as well as many other stores throughout the country. I recommend them to anyone seeking a healthy snack or ingredient. There's a flavor for anyone in the family and they're about the same price as any other bag of chips.
