The Suave Professionals Anti-Frizz Cream comes in a 5.1 ounce green colored tube with a gray flip-top lid. At my local Bi-Lo grocery store the price is $2.37, so that makes the anti-frizz cream a very reasonably priced hair care product compared to all of the other frizz creams and gels that I have tried over the years. It is located in the hair care aisle with all of the other products for styling your hair.
The cream has a very light scent that smells like flowers. No overpowering, chemical smells to coat your hair like other products for frizz control have. The cream is a lightly textured cream. It's not too thick and not to thin. It's just the right consistancy to make applying it to your hair a very easy and quick step in your daily hair styling routine.
According to the package directions you should apply a small amount of this anti-frizz cream to towel dried hair, starting at the ends and working your way up to the roots. Afterwards, you should dry your hair with a hair dryer on a low heat setting while using a diffuser on your hair dryer. Make sure to touch your hair as little as possible in order to keep the frizz at bay. If you need to touch up your hair throughout your day simply apply a little more cream to the ends of your hair as often as needed. The Suave Professionals Anti-Frizz Cream boasts that it will produce "defined curls or waves that are smooth and flexible".
The first time that I used the Suave Professionals Anti-Frizz Cream I was a little skeptical that it would work as well as other higher priced products that I had used but I was happily surprised by the effects that it had on my normally very frizzy hair. I applied the cream just as the directions had said to do but instead of drying with a hair dryer I allowed my hair to air dry. This produced very sleek and soft curls. I did have to pick them out a bit because they wanted to clump together into very large curls. So if you like that type of curl you will have no worries with this product. Just as the product boasts, I did have very "smooth and flexible" curls, so the Suave Professionals Anti-Frizz Cream held up to it's own expectations.
If you like to style your hair the night before then I don't suggest using the Suave Professionals Anti-Frizz Cream and expecting it to hold your style as well as other products. I do like to style my hair the night before so that I just have to do a few touch-ups the next morning, spray some hair spray and run out the door. This new Suave product just can not hold the style as strongly, in my opinion. I woke up to a flat head of hair but still had beautiful, smooth curls and waves. While it did not hold my overnight style as well, it did hold my style wonderfully when I fixed it during the day instead of the night before. My style was strong, long lasting and downright lovely with the Suave Professionals Anti-Frizz Cream.
In the end, the Suave Professionals Anti-Frizz Cream can hold it's own with the other more expensive brands but you will need to use a good size amount of it and style it immediately rather than doing it later. This is a great product for the money and I will definitely buy it again to accompany my other hair care and styling products.
