Product Review: Tandoor Chef Chicken Curry with Seasoned Basmati Rice
Tandoor Chef Offers Authentic Tasting Indian Cuisine
Taste Test
I really love Indian food, and though the spicy nature of the cooking can get a bit extreme, I'm not put off by even some of the more tangy dishes. Tandoor Chef's Chicken Curry with Seasoned Basmati Rice proves that traditional doesn't have to scare off the uninitiated. This dish is chock full of big juicy chunks of chicken, smothered in a curry based sauce. Yes, there's loads of curry in it, but the balance of flavor and seasoning never truly overwhelms the taste buds.
The basmati rice is light, fluffy, and most of all cooked to perfection. It's so light, it's almost like an afterthought to the chicken, however when mixed up right, it provides the best kind of compliment to the dish as a whole. The portion isn't exactly large, though just big enough for a lunch, or a light dinner with say some traditional Indian bread Naan - which Tandoor Chef also sells in stores.

Summary
Indian cuisine is becoming more and more a standard choice in restaurants, food courts and now in retail and supermarkets nationwide. Tandoor Chef cooks up Indian dishes of real authentic quality and great taste. Their Chicken Curry with Seasoned Basmati Rice is just one dish from a whole line of authentic recipes of India. The salt content may be a bit high for some consumers in this one, and the portion could be larger, however on the whole this is a great tasting dish. It can be found for about $4.00 in your supermarket's frozen food section.
