Sure enough, in the same product line from The Body Shop is a Tea Tree Oil Facial Scrub. I like that the tea tree oil product line leaves my skin feeling clean and refreshed, and I also like that The Body Shop refuses to test any of their products on animals. The Body Shop also has a strong commitment to community trade, so I know my purchases at the store help provide jobs for people in developing nations. At just nine dollars, the Tea Tree Oil Facial Scrub wasn't unreasonably priced, so I decided to buy it and give it a try.
The next day, I decided to use the Tea Tree Oil Facial Scrub during my shower before shaving my face. The product was earthy green in color and was thick and creamy. When I rubbed it on my fingers, I could feel what seemed to be tiny particles of sand in the product. This was just the kind of exfoliating grit I had been searching for. The product lathered well on my face, and although I could feel the grit in the product, it was gentle and didn't irritate the sensitive skin on my face at all.
I did notice that by using the Tea Tree Oil Facial Scrub from The Body Shop before shaving that the appearance of razor burn was noticeably reduced. This was great news, because a lot of other products I have used in the past failed to reduce the appearance of razor burn. In the end, I was quite pleased with the face scrub from The Body Shop. It left my skin feeling clean and refreshed, and the exfoliating particles in the scrub were effective without leaving my skin feel irritated. The Tea Tree Oil Facial Scrub from The Body Shop might cost more than other face scrubs, but I feel the higher quality is well worth the extra money.
