"Tide to Go is the instant stain remover that helps eliminate many fresh food and drink stains on the spot. Keep a Tide to Go in your briefcase, car, purse and kitchen - everywhere you encounter stains."
"Stains that Tide to Go works best on include ketchup, BBQ sauce, grape juice, tomato juice, coffee, soda, chocolate syrup, tea and wine."
Price:
The Tide to Go suggested retail price is $2.99 for a single pack and $6.99 for a 3-pack.
Packaging:
The Tide to Go packaging is plastic and is done in the original Tide colors we all know-orange, blue, white, and yellow. I think the packaging stands out in stores and has a neat sort of look to it. The actual pen looks like a magic marker. It is plastic and has a secure fitting lid. I have had had no problems with any leaks from the pen. It holds 10 ml, or 0.338 fluid ounces. Package Dimensions: W: 4.33'' x H: 9.2'' x D: 0.9''
Tide to Go works in three easy steps:
1. Remove excess residue from the stain.
2. Press the tip onto the stain several times to release some stain remover solution onto the stain.
3. Rub tip gently across the stain to remove it. When necessary, add more liquid and continue rubbing gently.
4. Important: If treated area will be exposed to direct sunlight, wipe with a damp cloth or napkin to remove excess solution left on fabric.
"For tough stains, place a paper towel under the stain while treating or wipe excess liquid or residue away with a damp paper towel, or reapply as necessary."
Pros:
-Works instantly.
-No smell.
-Works on most all fabrics.
-Tide to Go is the size of a marker, which makes it very accessible and portable.
-No water, or immediate washing required.
-Works great on fresh spills or stains.
-No messes.
-Not time consuming.
-The makers of Tide to Go are "confident that there is little risk of leakage with the Tide to Go packaging. The nib has a valve system so that liquid is only released when the nib is pressed."
-The pen can be used for 10-20 applications.
Cons:
-"Tide to Go does not perform as well on non-food and drink stains including ink, grease, blood, and grass stains. These are the types of stains that will need to be pretreated and laundered."
-I did use it on a dress shirt and it left a ring around the area I used it on, but it did remove the stain, and the ring came out with water.
-May be hard to find at some stores.
Overall Opinion:
I was very excited to use this product, especially after reading so many negative reviews about it. I was pleasantly suprised with this product. It really does works with stains that you may get while you are "on the go." I have personally used it on make up stains and even cleaned some stains out of a pair of my flip flops and it worked great! I do think there could be some improving in the Tide to Go pen and a lower price would be nice as well. I think that people should try this product even if they have heard all of the negative reviews and make their own opinion about it.
