Product Review: Tone's Sugar Glow Body Wash

Tone's new Sugar Glow exfoliating body wash promises to "Polish", "Moisturize" and "Brighten" to "Reveal Radiant Skin". That sounds pretty good for a body wash that retails under $5 for a 12 ounce bottle (in northeastern PA). I was somewhat skeptical about trying this product. Is it really possible to get all of this just from a body wash?

According to the packaging, Tone's Sugar Glow body wash uses ultra-fine particles to exfoliate the skin. Tone's Sugar Glow body wash then uses sugar and glycerin to moisturize skin. The combination of these ingredients is supposed to give you soft, radiant skin while you shower.

I admit that I only tried this body wash because it was on sale and I had a coupon. Almost every body wash on the market makes the same claims, so I was not expecting the promised results. I was very pleasantly surprised with Tone Sugar Glow body wash.

Unlike many low-cost body washes, the scent is quite pleasant. Tone's Sugar Glow body wash smells similar to watermelon flavored bubble gum. The fragrance lasts throughout the shower, but does not linger on your skin after showering.

Tone's Sugar Glow body wash has ultra-fine exfoliants in the thick liquid. They have a gentle exfoliating feel, not harsh, gritty or scratchy. Tone recommends using Sugar Glow body wash with a body pouf. The combination of the exfoliants and the pouf really work well at removing dry, dead skin cells.

Just to experiment, I went without lotion the first few days I used Tone's Sugar Glow body wash. I wanted it to be clear whether this body wash made a difference in the quality of my skin. I was surprised at how much of a difference Tone's Sugar Glow body wash made.

My dry skin started to improve immediately. While I will still need lotion in the winter, and will still need to exfoliate occasionally, Tone's Sugar Glow body wash will definitely reduce the need for both. In less than a week, I have seen positive results.

Tone's Sugar Glow body wash is not a miracle product. It will not eliminate dry skin from your life, permanently. Tone's Sugar Glow body wash does improve dry skin and remove dead, flakey skin cells.

In my opinion, Tone's Sugar Glow body wash works very well for its economical price. I will definitely be buying it again, and would recommend it to people with dry skin.
